Errington Metals Announces Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for the Sudbury Basin Project
Errington’s maiden MRE defines 14.2Mt of measured and indicated resources at 2.74% CuEq, validating the scale of its Sudbury Basin project.

Errington Metals Corp. announced its maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the Sudbury Basin Project on September 22, 2026. The estimate covers the Errington, Vermilion, and Balfour deposits, defining 14.20 million tonnes (Mt) of Measured and Indicated (M&I) resources and 3.44 Mt of Inferred resources.
Global M&I grades average 1.20% Cu, 4.02% Zn, 1.11% Pb, 0.83 g/t Au, and 50.25 g/t Ag, equating to 2.74% CuEq. Over 80% of total resources are classified as Measured or Indicated, with the Errington deposit accounting for ~75% of M&I tonnes.
Economic parameters used a 1.5% CuEq break-even cut-off, with metal prices at USD 5.80/lb Cu, USD 1.30/lb Zn, USD 0.90/lb Pb, USD 4,100/oz Au, and USD 50/oz Ag.
Drilling remains active, with a fully funded Phase 2 campaign of ~55,000 m ongoing through 2027. 30 additional holes at Errington are pending inclusion in future updates.
Errington Metals Corp. (EM) released a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) that aligns with management’s stated target of delivering an initial resource estimate in the second half of 2026. The tonnage and grade profile are consistent with historical Glencore estimates and the results of the recent 45,000-metre drill program, confirming the geological model without major upside surprises.
The high proportion of measured and indicated (M&I) resources, exceeding 80%, and the focus on the Errington deposit provide a credible foundation for a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) in the near term.
Errington Metals Corp. (EM) is an exploration-stage company focused on the Sudbury Basin Project in Ontario, Canada. The project encompasses three near-surface polymetallic Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) zones: Errington, Vermilion, and Balfour. The land package spans approximately 9,000 hectares, with a continuous prospective strike length exceeding 20 kilometres. The company is advancing toward a Preliminary Economic Assessment, supported by a +45,000-metre drilling program in 2026 and ongoing metallurgical studies.
