Errington Metals appoints Harold Gibson as Technical Advisor and Begins Fall Drill Campaign
Errington appoints a veteran advisor and launches a 45,000-metre fall drilling program at its Sudbury Basin VMS project.

Errington Metals Corp. has appointed Dr. Harold L. Gibson, P.Geo., as a Technical Advisor. Gibson brings over 40 years of VMS expertise, currently serves as VP of Exploration for VMS Mining Corp, is an Emeritus Professor at Laurentian University, and previously directed exploration for Falconbridge Ltd. in the Sudbury Basin.
The company initiated its fall 2026 drill campaign at the Vermilion property. Rig mobilization is staged: an initial rig is testing extensions of the mineralized zone and validating historic drilling; a second rig will commence shortly; a third rig is expected in October to collect material for a planned mini-pilot metallurgical test in 2027. The campaign is part of a broader 45,000-metre exploration program designed to support an initial mineral resource estimate and test regional targets. CEO Matthew Gollat emphasized the company's strong balance sheet and disciplined execution as it enters this next phase of development.
Errington Metals Corp. (EM) has appointed a highly experienced VMS advisor and commenced its fall drill campaign, milestones that align with the company’s previously announced 45,000-metre exploration plan and recent strategic land consolidation, including the Sept 10 Vale acquisition. The addition of a third rig specifically for metallurgical sampling in October directly supports the planned 2027 mini-pilot test, de-risking the processing pathway ahead of the targeted H2 2026 resource estimate. These developments validate management's commitment to advancing the Vermilion and broader Sudbury Basin project toward a resource estimate.
Errington Metals Corp. (EM) is an exploration-stage company focused on the Sudbury Basin Project in Ontario, Canada. The project encompasses three known near-surface polymetallic VMS centres: Errington, Vermilion, and Balfour, spanning a strike length of over 12.5 km.
The company recently expanded its land package by acquiring approximately 2,727 hectares in July and signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Mid Zone property from Vale Canada, covering approximately 1,270 hectares, in September. These acquisitions bring the total prospective strike length to over 20 km. The goal is to generate an initial NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate in the second half of 2026, building on historical Glencore estimates that have not yet been fully verified to current standards.
