Rock Tech Lithium and Siemens Canada Sign Agreements to Bring Advanced German Engineering to Ontario Lithium Converter Project
Rock Tech uses a Siemens digital twin to de-risk the Red Rock deposit’s definitive feasibility study ahead of its December completion.

Rock Tech Lithium Inc. (RCK) has signed agreements with Siemens Canada to develop a Digital Process Twin for its planned Red Rock Lithium Converter in Ontario. Siemens will provide specialized support in process control, instrumentation, and automation architecture to assist with the ongoing Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS).
The DFS was launched in late June 2026 and is expected to be finalized by mid-December 2026. This agreement represents the first implementation phase of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in March 2026. The partnership aims to position the Red Rock Converter as a blueprint for future lithium conversion projects in Canada and allied G7 markets.
Rock Tech Lithium Inc. (RCK) announced a direct follow-up to its March 2026 Memorandum of Understanding, marking an incremental execution milestone rather than a surprise. The company is integrating Siemens' Digital Twin technology to de-risk the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) by enabling virtual validation of plant processes, energy flows, and emissions prior to major capital commitment. This engineering rigor supports management's targeted Final Investment Decision (FID) timeline for end-2026. While the move is strategically valuable for project de-risking and potential alignment with government funding criteria, it does not alter the company's capital raise requirements or fundamentally change the project's economics.
Rock Tech Lithium Inc. (RCK) is developing an integrated mine-to-converter supply chain for battery-grade lithium in North America and Europe. The company’s flagship projects include the Georgia Lake Mine in Ontario, which targets 100,000 DMT/y of spodumene concentrate production starting in 2028. The Ontario-based Red Rock Converter is planned to have a capacity of 32,000 t LCE/yr, leveraging Guben's proven design. Additionally, the Guben Converter in Germany is fully permitted with a capacity of 24,000 t LHM/yr and has been designated a strategic project under the EU CRMA.
The company is currently pre-revenue, focusing on engineering, permitting, and securing offtake and financing to reach a final investment decision.
