Orosur Mining Announces Discovery at El Cedro
Orosur’s first El Cedro hole intersected 61m of low-grade gold, with vein assays pending to determine the true width and grade of the mineralisation.

Orosur Mining Inc. (OMI) has released partial assay results from the first drill hole, CED001, at the El Cedro prospect within its Anzá Project in Colombia. The reported intersection spans 61.35 meters grading 0.93 grams per tonne of gold from surface, which includes a higher-grade interval of 42.15 meters grading 1.02 grams per tonne of gold from 19.2 meters to 61.35 meters. The final assayed sample at the 61.35-meter mark returned 1.25 grams per tonne of gold.
The drill hole is currently at a depth of 130 meters, with plans to reach 500 meters. At approximately 99 meters downhole, the hole visually entered a wide zone of polymetallic veining containing pyrrhotite, pyrite, galena, sphalerite, and chalcopyrite. Assays for this vein zone are pending. While copper was anomalous in the assayed shallow interval, the company stated it is below economic significance. CEO Brad George described El Cedro as one of possibly two grassroots discoveries.
Orosur Mining Inc. (OMI) released early-stage drill results from El Cedro, a grassroots prospect that remains distinct from the company’s more advanced assets. Within Anzá’s existing portfolio, El Cedro is still unproven, whereas Pepas holds a maiden resource and APTA features higher-grade historical and recent intercepts.
The stock traded near C$0.26, close to its 52-week low, indicating the market is not pricing in a major discovery at El Cedro. The expected anchor for the project was low; a prior release on 2026-09-02 discussed visual porphyry alteration and stockwork veining but included no assays, and the market did not re-rate on that information.
The latest results are positive but not transformational. They confirm the hydrothermal system is gold-bearing from the surface, though the grade is modest and key deeper vein assays are pending. Against an approximately C$103M market cap, a 61.35m at 0.93 g/t Au partial assay does not by itself change resource, NAV, or project economics. This is routine, encouraging exploration news.
Orosur Mining Inc. is a pre-revenue gold explorer listed on the TSXV and AIM. The company’s flagship Anzá Project in Colombia is 100% owned through Minera Anzá and Minera Monte Aguila. The Anzá property now covers approximately 530km² in the Mid-Cauca gold belt.
The Pepas deposit within Anzá has a maiden NI 43-101 resource, which includes an Indicated category of 1.14Mt at 5.46 g/t Au for about 201,000 oz, and an Inferred category of 0.19Mt at 2.99 g/t Au for about 18,000 oz. The APTA prospect contains high-grade epithermal gold, including MAP107: 135.5m at 1.91 g/t Au, including 49m at 4.06 g/t Au and 13.8m at 12.73 g/t Au. El Cedro is a gold/copper porphyry cluster with large soil anomalies and has begun its first drilling.
In Argentina, El Pantano is a low-sulphidation epithermal project now 100% owned, where early drilling returned only low-grade gold intervals. Cash was approximately US$13.66M as of February 28, 2026. Shares outstanding were approximately 395.95M.
