Largo Provides Financial, Operational and Commercial Updates
Largo restructured debt while cutting production guidance and facing cost pressures that challenge its turnaround narrative.

Largo Inc. has executed a definitive debt-restructuring agreement with Caixa Económica Federal and extended a US$6.0 million promissory note with ARG International AG to February 2028. In parallel, the company is implementing cost-reduction and working-capital initiatives, which include renegotiating supplier contracts and lowering mining rates to reduce inventories.
Commercially, Largo Inc. launched its first copper-PGM concentrate sales, expecting approximately US$4.7 million in September 2026. The company is also preparing for its first shipment under a U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contract in late September 2026. Regarding production, 2026 vanadium output is expected toward the lower end of the previously announced 10,500–12,000 tonne guidance range.
Management changes include Mr. Jim Bannantine leading the Commercial Department and Mr. Francesco D'Alessio departing for another CEO role.
Largo Inc. (LGO) announced a debt restructuring, a development already signaled by the August term sheet and TSX delisting resolution. The company also provided a production guide-cut and noted cost pressures, factors that are modestly negative but expected given the inventory reduction strategy. Additionally, commercial updates regarding copper-PGM and DLA were reported as positive, though these developments are incremental and largely priced in following the August earnings and operational updates.
Largo Inc. operates the Maracás Menchen Mine in Bahia, Brazil, establishing itself as the world's largest primary vanadium producer. The company also holds a 37.4% ownership stake in Storion Energy, a joint venture with Stryten Energy focused on vanadium flow battery electrolyte production. Additionally, Largo owns 100% interests in the Northern Dancer Tungsten-Molybdenum property in the Yukon, Canada, and the Currais Novos Tungsten Tailing Project in Brazil. The company is transitioning from a pure vanadium and ilmenite producer to a diversified critical minerals and precious metals producer through copper-PGM byproduct recovery.
