Zacatecas Silver Announces Multiple Silver Assays from El Cristo Drill Program
Zacatecas reports high-grade near-surface El Cristo silver hits in a low-expectation micro-cap.

Zacatecas Silver Corp. (ZAC) has completed Phase 2 diamond drilling at the El Cristo vein system within its Zacatecas Silver Project in Mexico. The company finished 20 holes totaling 2,144 meters, with 11 of those holes intersecting silver-base metal mineralization across a 1.5-kilometer strike within a 250-meter corridor.
The release identified several headline intercepts from the program:
- CRI-2026-043: 0.51 m @ 2,337 g/t AgEq (2,300 g/t Ag, 0.47 g/t Au) from 40.79 m downhole.
- CRI-2026-048: 0.32 m @ 858 g/t AgEq (826 g/t Ag) from 19.68 m.
- CRI-2026-047: 0.43 m @ 582 g/t AgEq (554 g/t Ag) from 59.87 m.
- CRI-2026-045: 2.42 m @ 280 g/t AgEq (278 g/t Ag) from 11.35 m.
- CRI-2026-044: 2.78 m @ 250 g/t AgEq (240 g/t Ag) from 27.32 m.
- CRI-2026-030: 0.50 m @ 242 g/t AgEq, but only 31 g/t Ag with 8.92% Zn and 1.83% Pb, from 101.77 m.
According to the release, the mineralization is classified as intermediate sulphidation epithermal, oxidized near the surface, and open at depth. True widths for the intersections have not been determined.
Zacatecas Silver Corp. (ZAC) is a pre-revenue explorer with zero operating cash flow, meaning materiality must be judged against equity rather than a reserve statement. The stock is trading at C$0.07, near its 52-week low of C$0.06, following a long decline from C$0.17 in January 2026. The market has not yet embedded the 2022 El Cristo anchor into today’s price, leaving expectations low.
Against that low bar, CRI-2026-043 at 0.51 m @ 2,300 g/t Ag is materially better than the prior best primary silver grade, and the multi-metre hits add encouraging confirmation. However, Phase 2 did not test depth, true widths are unknown, and the mineralized intervals are shallow, oxidized and narrow. This does not yet convert high grade into tonnes or mineable geometry.
Expected share-price impact includes a positive but potentially volatile reaction; a headline 2,300 g/t Ag intercept in a beaten-down micro-cap could easily produce a double-digit percentage bounce, but lack of true width and no depth test likely caps follow-through.
Zacatecas Silver Corp. (ZAC) is a multi-asset Mexican precious metals explorer with six projects across Zacatecas, Sonora, Morelos and Oaxaca. The Zacatecas Silver Project covers 7,826 ha in the Fresnillo silver belt and includes the El Cristo vein system. It holds an inferred resource for the Panuco deposit of 3.41 Mt @ 187 g/t AgEq for 20.5 moz AgEq.
The Esperanza Gold Project contains measured and indicated resources of 45.4 Mt @ 0.79 g/t AuEq for 1.15 moz AuEq, and inferred resources of 11.2 Mt @ 0.57 g/t AuEq for 206 koz AuEq. The Oso Negro project in Sonora is an undrilled high-grade low-sulphidation epithermal property where surface samples have returned up to 14.8 g/t Au and 2,340 g/t Ag. Twenty drill pads have been identified at the site.
Other assets include Cumaro, La Lola, and Ejutla, which are optioned from Heliostar Metals. The company currently generates no revenue. For the first quarter of 2026, Zacatecas Silver reported a comprehensive loss of C$2.95M, with cash holdings of C$1.99M and working capital of C$1.19M. The company carries a going concern flag. A C$1.48M first tranche financing was closed in July 2026 at C$0.07.
