Orogen Royalties Acquires Two Gold Projects in Southwest Utah

Orogen’s steady generative pipeline expansion reinforces its low-risk royalty model.

Executive Summary

Orogen Royalties Inc. announced the acquisition of two early-stage gold projects, Toro de Oro and El Gigante, located in Southwest Utah near Modena. The projects were generated in partnership with Triple Flag Precious Metals and are currently available for option or sale.

Toro de Oro covers approximately 8.6 square kilometres of Bureau of Land Management claims and Utah State mineral lease within the Indian Peak Caldera Complex, featuring advanced argillic alteration and chalcedonic vein sets indicative of a low-sulphidation epithermal system. El Gigante covers approximately 3.4 square kilometres of Bureau of Land Management claims, featuring sub-parallel quartz veins up to 3.0 metres wide with surface sampling returning up to 101 parts per billion gold.

Both projects are untested by drilling. Samples are first-pass reconnaissance grab/select samples with no standards, blanks, or duplicates inserted. The projects will be presented at Orogen's Project Generator Day on September 16, 2026. The transaction structure implies low upfront capital outlay, consistent with Orogen's generative exploration model where partners fund early-stage work and Orogen retains royalty interests upon option or sale.

Material Impact

Orogen Royalties Inc. (OGN) has executed a standard portfolio expansion aligned with its core generative exploration strategy. The company did not disclose an immediate financial impact for the acquisition, noting that the model relies on low upfront staking and option costs, followed by partner-funded exploration and eventual royalty retention upon project sale or option.

The transaction follows Orogen’s consistent historical pattern of generating projects through alliances with entities such as Triple Flag, Altius, and South32, and presenting them at Project Generator Days. The market has already priced in this steady pipeline execution, as evidenced by the stock’s appreciation from approximately $3.30 in June to $4.80 in early September following strong first-half results.
