AbraSilver Intersects Broad Zones of Near-Surface Gold Mineralization at Cerro Viejo Target on Diablillos Property
AbraSilver’s low-grade Cerro Viejo gold discovery adds exploration optionality to its already-priced definitive feasibility study.

AbraSilver Resource Corp. (ABRA) has released assay results from five diamond drill holes at the Cerro Viejo target within the Diablillos project in Argentina. The company highlighted several oxide gold intercepts, with DDH 26-037 returning 27.0 m at 0.58 g/t Au and 4.6 g/t Ag from a depth of 23 m. DDH 26-047 returned 32.0 m at 0.29 g/t Au and 2.8 g/t Ag from 9 m depth, followed by 14.0 m at 1.50 g/t Au and 6.2 g/t Ag from 54 m.
In terms of copper mineralization, DDH 26-043 returned 7.0 m at 0.53% Cu from 97 m, including separate shorter intervals of 5.0 m at 0.15% Cu and 3.0 m at 0.17 g/t Au with 0.57% Cu. DDH 26-048 returned broad but low-grade Au-Cu intervals, including 21.0 m at 0.12 g/t Au and 0.10% Cu, and 18.0 m at 0.13 g/t Au and 0.06% Cu.
Phase VI has completed approximately 12,000 m in 54 holes since January 2026, of which only about 1,000 m was drilled at Cerro Viejo.
AbraSilver Resource Corp. (ABRA) has identified a satellite exploration target located 4 km north of the main Oculto deposit. The project is already at the definitive feasibility study (DFS) stage, supported by a substantial resource and reserve base.
Recent drilling at this satellite target yielded a few low-grade, early-stage oxide gold holes. These results do not alter the company’s reserves, mine life, or near-term development plan. The new intercepts are weaker in grade-thickness compared to the prior Cerro Viejo anchor hole. However, that anchor hole is not clearly embedded as a major driver of the current share price. The equity has re-rated based on DFS, Condoryacu, resource growth, and financing milestones.
Consequently, the results do not constitute material negative damage to the core project. They represent ordinary exploration news flow with modest, sub-band intercepts. The expected share-price impact is likely minimal to slightly negative at most. This is not the type of result that should move a C$2.4B developer by 15% or more.
AbraSilver Resource Corp. (ABRA) is a silver-gold development company advancing its 100%-owned Diablillos project in the Salta and Catamarca provinces of Argentina. A definitive feasibility study (DFS) completed in June 2026 outlined an after-tax net present value (NPV5%) of US$3.0 billion, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 41.9%, a 1.7-year payback period, a 25-year mine life, and initial capital expenditures of US$722 million.
The Diablillos project holds Proven and Probable Reserves of 77.9 million tonnes grading 146 grams per tonne silver-equivalent (AgEq), containing approximately 184 million ounces of silver and 1.8 million ounces of gold. Measured and Indicated Resources total 231.98 million tonnes grading 33 grams per tonne of silver and 0.34 grams per tonne of gold, representing approximately 248 million ounces of silver and 2.54 million ounces of gold.
In addition to Diablillos, the company holds an earn-in joint venture with Teck on the La Coipita copper-gold-molybdenum project in San Juan, Argentina. Prior-period financial data shows that AbraSilver reported a nine-month net loss of -$38.47 million for the third quarter of 2025. Cash holdings were $12.88 million as of September 30, 2025, with subsequent financings in July 2026 raising approximately C$52 million before the current period.
