Cabral Gold Drills 8.9m @ 5.8 g/t gold and Intersects New Mineralized Zone at Jerimum Cima Target, Cuiu Cuiu Gold District, Brazil

CBR · Price

Cabral Gold Inc. (CBR) has announced drill results from ten additional diamond drill holes at the Jerimum Cima target within the Cuiú Cuiú Gold District in Brazil. The most significant finding comes from hole DDH411, which identified a new mineralized zone approximately 200m south of the main zone. This discovery returned 8.9m @ 5.8 g/t Au, including 1.8m @ 28.4 g/t Au. The new zone is interpreted as parallel to the main zone and remains open in all directions.

Hole DDH393 tested the down-dip extension of the northern-most zone, returning 9.3m @ 2.78 g/t Au, including 1.7m @ 7.2 g/t Au. It also intersected a lower-grade interval of 10.2m @ 1.00 g/t Au.

The company provided detailed intercept data for the drilling program. Key results from the main mineralized zones include:

  • DDH411: 8.9m @ 5.8 g/t Au from 208.1m, including 1.8m @ 28.4 g/t Au from 212.2m.
  • DDH393: 9.3m @ 2.78 g/t Au from 207.1m, including 1.7m @ 7.2 g/t Au from 207.1m; and 10.2m @ 1.00 g/t Au from 225.0m.
  • DDH396: 8.9m @ 0.50 g/t Au from 195.6m; and 11.1m @ 0.58 g/t Au from 241.3m, including 0.7m @ 7.82 g/t Au from 241.3m.

Additional intercepts included blanket sediment and intrusive rock intersections:

  • DDH388: 26.0m @ 0.28 g/t Au from surface, including 1.0m @ 3.01 g/t Au; and 1.5m @ 1.76 g/t Au in intrusive rock from 183.5m.
  • DDH390: 36.7m @ 0.18 g/t Au from surface; and 0.9m @ 2.06 g/t Au and 0.5m @ 1.35 g/t Au in intrusive rock.
  • DDH392: 34.9m @ 0.24 g/t Au from 1m depth; and 1.2m @ 0.35 g/t Au in intrusive rock.
  • DDH399: 20.0m @ 0.20 g/t Au from surface, including 2.0m @ 0.80 g/t Au.
  • DDH402: 27.0m @ 0.14 g/t Au from surface, including 0.6m @ 4.03 g/t Au in saprolite; and 0.8m @ 7.19 g/t Au, 1.1m @ 1.30 g/t Au, 1.0m @ 0.85 g/t Au, and 0.5m @ 2.96 g/t Au in intrusive rock.
  • DDH393: Multiple low-grade intervals in intrusive rock (0.8m @ 0.94 g/t, 1.3m @ 0.53 g/t, 1.7m @ 0.89 g/t).
  • DDH394: No significant values (NSV).
  • DDH398: 4.4m @ 0.69 g/t Au in intrusive rock, including 0.8m @ 1.65 g/t Au.
  • DDH409: 11.8m @ 0.2 g/t Au in intrusive rock, including 1.5m @ 1.0 g/t Au.
  • DDH411: 0.5m @ 2.4 g/t Au in intrusive rock from 71.2m.

Samples were shipped to SGS GEOSOL Laboratorios in Vespasiano, Brazil, which holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation. Gold analyses were performed via 50g fire assay, with secondary assay techniques applied on higher-grade samples. Quality assurance and quality control measures included chain of custody, certified reference materials, blanks, duplicates, and check assays. The release states that true widths may be 50% of actual drill intercepts. All holes were drilled on a bearing of 180 degrees, with most drilled at a dip of 55 degrees; DDH393 and DDH394 were drilled at a dip of 50 degrees.

Alan Carter, President and CEO, commented on the findings: "The identification of a new mineralized zone at Jerimum Cima, located approximately 200m south of and running parallel to the main centrally located high-grade zone, is highly encouraging. This opens up the possibility of additional high-grade gold mineralization at the Jerimum Cima target which has already returned some spectacular drill results, including DDH385 which recently returned 9.5m @ 87.4 g/t gold. Further drilling will be required to determine the extent and along strike continuity of this new mineralized zone which remains open to the east, west and at depth."

In addition to the drilling results, the Board approved stock options for 34 employees and one officer. The total options granted amount to 3,078,000 common shares, with an exercise price of $1.35 per share. The options vest over 24 months and are exercisable for 5 years.
