Rackla Adds Second Drill Rig at Lentung Tungsten Project
Rackla has mobilized a second drill rig at its Lentung project, targeting a resource estimate for Q1 2027.

Rackla Metals Inc. has deployed a second reverse circulation (RC) drill rig to its Lentung tungsten project in the Northwest Territories, bringing the total number of active rigs to two. The company is currently executing a planned 6,000-metre RC program designed to complement ongoing diamond drilling (DD), with the goal of reaching approximately 10,000 metres of total drilling for the 2026 season.
Initial visual observations from five completed DD holes in the Central Zone have identified scheelite mineralization. These results are expected to inform a geological model that will support a modern NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate targeted for the first quarter of 2027. The RC program initially focuses on infill and expansion drilling within the Central Zone, specifically the historic Union Carbide area, primarily targeting near-surface mineralization at depths of less than 70 metres.
The first batch of drill samples is expected to ship to the laboratory in the week following the release. Supporting activities include ground-based gravity and drone magnetic surveys, 3D inversion modelling, and the ongoing recovery and re-logging of historic Union Carbide drill core.
Rackla Metals Inc. (RAK) has added a second drill rig and confirmed visual scheelite in the first five diamond drill (DD) holes, marking execution of its previously announced 2026 exploration plan. The company secured a land use permit in May 2026 and raised $3.44 million via private placement in the same month, commencing drilling in mid-July 2026. An August 26 update confirms the program is on schedule and accelerating.
Visual observations are preliminary and do not replace assay data. The company's 2025 Grad property drilling showed poor continuity between surface geochemistry and subsurface results, highlighting the risk that historic high-grade intercepts may not translate to a modern, continuous resource. The news is incremental and expected, confirming management is following its stated roadmap without introducing new geological surprises or financial milestones.
Rackla Metals Inc. is a Canadian tungsten exploration and development company focused on the Lentung project in the Northwest Territories. The project is situated in the Tombstone Tungsten Belt, approximately 60 km by road from the past-producing Cantung mine.
Historic exploration by Union Carbide between 1977 and 1982 included 26,900 metres of diamond drilling across 178 holes, identifying 15 tungsten occurrences over a 15 km strike. Average mill grade was reported at 1.14% WO3 with assumed 80% recovery.
The company holds a 100% interest in the property, subject to a 1% Net Smelter Return (NSR). The project is fully permitted for the 2026 exploration season, with a 5-year Type A Land Use Permit secured. The primary objective is to confirm historic mineralization, establish a geological database, and produce a modern NI 43-101 resource estimate by Q1 2027.
