Rackla Begins First Drilling At Lentung In 44 Years - 10,000 Metre Drill Program Underway

Rackla has commenced drilling at the Lentung project to target a maiden tungsten resource, marking the first exploration activity at the site in 44 years.

Executive Summary

Rackla Metals Inc. has launched its 2026 drilling program at the Lentung tungsten project in the Northwest Territories, marking the first new drilling on the property since Union Carbide’s operations concluded in 1982. The company plans to execute approximately 10,000 metres of drilling, split between 4,000 metres of diamond drilling (DD) and 6,000 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling.

The DD crew arrived on August 14, 2026, and collared the first hole, while the self-propelled RC drill is scheduled to mobilize on August 18, 2026. Primary objectives include confirming historic Union Carbide assay results, establishing a modern geological and assay database, and supporting the preparation of a NI 43-101 technical report and maiden mineral resource estimate, targeting completion in Q1 2027.

Supporting activities include ground-based gravity and drone-based magnetic surveys, 3D inversion modelling, recovery and re-logging of historic core, and completion of initial engineering and archaeological studies for a proposed access road. Community engagement has been initiated with the Nahaa Dehe Dene Band.

Material Impact

Rackla Metals Inc. (RAK) has begun drilling, marking the start of the 10,000-metre program previously announced in March, May, and July 2026. The development follows recent permitting and camp mobilization milestones and is considered an incremental step in the project’s execution. The announcement does not introduce new financial terms, unexpected geological discoveries, or changes to the project timeline.

The commencement of drilling represents a necessary operational phase but carries no immediate valuation impact until assay results are published. The market has already priced in the drilling timeline, and the stock's recent minor price action reflects routine execution rather than a fundamental shift. The announcement confirms that management is adhering to its stated exploration schedule.

Company Overview

Rackla Metals Inc. is an exploration-stage mining company focused on the Lentung tungsten project in the Northwest Territories, Canada. The project is located in the Tombstone-Tungsten Belt, approximately 60 km by road from the historical Cantung mine. The company holds a 100% interest in the property, subject to a 1% net smelter return (NSR) royalty.

Historic work by Union Carbide between 1977 and 1982 included 26,900 metres of diamond drilling across 178 holes, identifying 15 tungsten occurrences over a 15-kilometre strike. The company is currently digitizing historic data and preparing for a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate, targeting completion by Q1 2027.

The company also holds the Grad gold property, which delivered disappointing results during the 2025 drilling campaign, shifting management's primary focus and capital allocation toward Lentung.
