Cosigo Resources Provides Drilling Update
Cosigo’s Taraira drill update highlights logistical hurdles and mixed intercepts.

Cosigo Resources Ltd. (CSG) released a drilling update for its flagship Taraira property in Colombia on August 24, 2026. The company drilled holes 21, 22, and 25, with Hole 22 returning a notable 11.3 ppm Au over a short interval. Hole 21 showed grades up to 1.14 ppm, while Hole 25 remained very low grade at 0.009–0.012 ppm.
Holes 26, 27, and 28 are completed and in camp or preparation, with assay results expected in 6–12 weeks. Hole 29 is pending, and Hole 30 is scheduled to start. Historical holes 1–20 contain high-grade intervals, including 29.9 ppm in Hole 7 and 18.7 ppm in Hole 18, though many intervals are short and localized.
The company submitted a formal request to the Colombian Geological Survey for high-resolution airborne geophysics data, with delivery expected within the next two quarters. Management highlighted persistent logistical challenges in the region, including erratic weather, limited air cargo, fuel quality issues, and crude transportation networks. AI tools are being explored to standardize a 25-hole master dataset and a Mobile Metal Ions (MMI) folio of ~6000 samples.
Cosigo Resources Ltd. (CSG) released an incremental exploration update that aligns with its stated 2026 drilling program. The results were mixed: Hole 22 returned an 11.3 ppm intercept, which is positive but short and does not materially change the overall grade profile. Meanwhile, Hole 25’s low grades reinforce the difficulty of defining a continuous, high-grade zone.
Logistical and weather challenges noted by management are well-documented risks for Colombian exploration and do not represent new information. Pending results from holes 26–28 and upcoming geophysics data remain the primary near-term catalysts. Until those are released, the fundamental outlook remains unchanged. Given the pre-revenue status, tight liquidity, and mixed drill results, the release does not alter the risk/reward profile.
Cosigo Resources Ltd. (CSG) is a pre-revenue junior exploration company focused on mineral acquisition and exploration in Colombia and Brazil. Its flagship project is Taraira in Colombia, centered on the Machado Project and the "Chicken Coop" conglomerate unit. The company has conducted channel sampling, bulk sample acquisition, metallurgical testing, and multiple drill campaigns at the site.
Additional properties held by the company include Willow Creek in Nevada and Damian in Colombia, though Taraira remains the primary focus. To support operations, Cosigo has established an on-site sample pulverization mill and a camp-level metallurgical gravity laboratory, initiatives designed to reduce international lab costs and enable near real-time targeting.
