Asante Provides Financing Update
Asante extends its $100 million funding deadline to September 30 without securing a capital solution.

Asante Gold Corporation (ASE) has secured a two-month extension for two senior lender deadlines, moving both to September 30, 2026. The requirement to secure at least US$100 million in aggregate new funding, previously due August 31, 2026, is now due September 30, 2026. Similarly, the requirement to deliver a cost-to-complete certificate, which was originally due August 20, 2026, has been pushed to September 30, 2026.
The company stated that no new financing, amendment, or capital solution has been announced, explicitly noting there is no assurance regarding the structure, timing, or terms of any future arrangements. Asante Gold described the extension as providing additional time to minimize shareholder dilution, citing constructive discussions with financing partners.
Asante Gold Corporation (ASE) issued a financing update rather than an earnings release, providing no new data on production, costs, reserves, or margins. The company secured an extension to avoid an immediate cross-default, confirming that it failed to meet a US$100 million funding requirement by the prior deadline. This miss is significant given the company’s existing going-concern flag, a working capital deficiency of US$217.6 million, and only US$57.8 million in cash as of June 30, 2026.
The critical detail from the release is that Asante remains contractually obligated to raise US$100 million by September 30, 2026, with no terms currently announced.
