Aircraft Incident Near Prince George, British Columbia
A contractor aircraft emergency landed near Prince George, leaving the crew safe but resulting in one fatality.

Evergold Corp. confirmed that two of its exploration team members were aboard a Sekani Air Ltd. aircraft that made an emergency landing on Foothills Boulevard in Prince George, B.C., on August 20, 2026. The aircraft struck several vehicles during the incident, resulting in the death of one person in a struck vehicle.
All Evergold personnel and other passengers on board the aircraft were confirmed safe and uninjured. The company has extended its condolences and reaffirmed its commitment to safety as an investigation into the accident progresses.
Evergold Corp. (EVER) reported that an incident involving a third-party contractor aircraft had minimal operational impact. All company crew members are safe, and there is no reported damage to company assets or immediate halt to exploration activities.
The financial impact is considered negligible, with no direct costs or liabilities disclosed. The company’s recent $5.41M financing, closed in April 2026, provides ample working capital to cover operational overheads and exploration programs.
While aviation safety is a known risk for a junior explorer operating in remote regions, the company’s prompt response and cooperation with the investigation have helped contain reputational damage. The market is unlikely to price this as a material negative given the lack of company fault or operational disruption.
Evergold Corp. (EVER) is a junior exploration company focused on its 100%-owned Golden Lion project in the Toodoggone district of British Columbia. The property spans over 12,500 hectares and includes the newly acquired Copper King claims, which target potential porphyry copper-gold systems.
The flagship Golden Lion project hosts an intermediate sulphidation epithermal-style gold-silver mineralization system known as the GL1 Main Zone. Historical drilling by Newmont between 1982 and 1984, as well as by Evergold from 2019 to 2021, identified high-grade intercepts, including 11.3m of 5.4 g/t Au and 62 g/t Ag.
Management has shifted to a singular strategic focus on Golden Lion, with new leadership appointed in early 2026. CEO Alex Walcott and CFO Leon Ho now lead the company.
