Q-Gold Successfully Completes Expansion of Mineral Claim Position at Quartz Mountain Gold Project, Oregon

Q-Gold Resources Ltd. (QGR) has completed a significant expansion of its mineral claim holdings at the Quartz Mountain Gold Project in Lake County, Oregon, by staking new claims that are contiguous with its existing land package. The expansion is strategically designed to provide exploration upside beyond the currently defined resource at the Crone Hill and Quartz Butte deposits and to offer flexibility for future infrastructure, such as processing facilities and waste rock areas, should the project move toward development.
The newly acquired claims are located along the Klamath Falls-Lakeview Highway (Oregon Highway 140) corridor. This transaction extends the company's geological footprint beyond the defined resource at Crone Hill and Quartz Butte, allowing for regional-scale exploration of potential mineralized zones outside the existing resource area. Additionally, the expanded land package provides additional space for future site infrastructure, including processing facilities, waste rock and heap leach areas, access roads, and water management infrastructure.
The company references a recently completed Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) demonstrating robust project economics and notes that it continues to advance permitting, engineering, and stakeholder engagement activities. Regarding the project structure, Q-Gold holds a 50% unincorporated joint venture interest in the Angel’s Camp property with an option to acquire the remaining 50%. For the Quartz Mountain property, the company holds an option to acquire a 100% interest, subject to the completion of several conditions.
Peter Tagliamonte, P.Eng., MBA, Chairman & CEO, described the expansion as a "proactive strategic step" and "disciplined, forward-looking work" to support long-term value creation.
“This claim expansion is a proactive strategic step in advancing the long-term potential of Quartz Mountain. By enlarging our land position around the existing resource, we are opening additional ground for exploration while also preserving important flexibility for potential future project infrastructure as engineering and permitting work progresses. This is disciplined, forward-looking work designed to support the continued advancement of Quartz Mountain and long-term value creation for our shareholders.”
