K2 Gold Corporation (KTO) has announced the first drill results from its fully permitted and fully funded 14,000-meter campaign at the Mojave Project, specifically targeting the Dragonfly Zone. The company completed three new holes—DF26-018, DF26-019, and DF26-020—from site DF-A, representing a 40-meter step-out north from the 2020 discovery intercepts. These results confirm high-grade oxide gold mineralization in previously untested ground. To date, the company has completed 15 holes for 2,630 meters, with 12 additional holes pending assay results, and plans to move drilling to the Newmont target next.

The highlight intercepts from the Dragonfly Zone at Site DF-A include DF26-020, which returned 39.62m at 5.35 g/t Au from 51.82m downhole, including 25.91m at 7.14 g/t Au. DF26-019 returned 10.67m at 7.75 g/t Au from 16.76m downhole, while DF26-018 returned 18.29m at 3.77 g/t Au from 27.43m downhole, including 7.62m at 7.48 g/t Au.

Additional intercepts were identified in DF26-018, including 7.62m at 0.43 g/t Au from 96.01m, and 24.39m at 0.33 g/t Au from 118.87m, including 3.05m at 1.67 g/t Au. In DF26-019, the company reported 7.62m at 1.85 g/t Au from 77.72m, 3.05m at 2.27 g/t Au from 94.49m, and 16.76m at 0.55 g/t Au from 114.3m, including 4.57m at 1.69 g/t Au. DF26-020 also yielded 4.57m at 0.51 g/t Au from surface (0m), 3.04m at 0.62 g/t Au from 128.02m, and 10.67m at 0.28 g/t Au from 155.45m.

Geologically, all three holes were collared in a previously unknown gold zone with grades up to 0.96 g/t Au. The mineralization is hosted in sub-parallel, steeply west-dipping structures within silicified and oxidized conglomerate, siltstone, and limestone. True widths are currently unknown. The Dragonfly Zone is located 1.5km south of the undrilled Gold Valley target, which has returned rock samples to 375 g/t Au, on the >6.5km long Eastside Gold Trend. Mineralization has been confirmed over 400m of drilled strike length and remains open along strike and at depth.

Assays were performed by ALS Laboratories, with preparation in Reno, NV, and analysis in North Vancouver, BC. Preparation followed protocol PREP-31Y, involving dry crushing to 2mm, rotary splitting, and pulverizing 250g to >85% passing 75 microns. Analysis was conducted via Au-ICP21, using 30g fire assay fusion with an ICP-AES finish. Samples returning >10 g/t Au by Fire Assay were re-analyzed via Au-GRA21, which uses a 30g fire assay with a gravimetric finish. Multi-element analysis was performed via ME-MS61, using a 4-acid digestion and ICP-MS finish for 48 elements. Quality assurance and control included coarse blanks and certified assay standards inserted at approximately a 1/10 (10%) rate.

The company received a positive Record of Decision (ROD) from the US BLM in early 2026 for exploration drilling from up to 22 drill sites.

John Robins, Executive Chairman, stated: "We are exceptionally pleased with these initial results. All work done to date on our 100% owned Mojave Project indicates the presence of a very large mineralized system. The current drilling on the >6.5km long Eastside Gold Trend is beginning to yield exceptionally high grades of oxide gold with multiple stacked mineralized structures.”

Anthony Margarit, President and CEO, added: “The strength of these initial drill results from Mojave reinforces our enthusiasm for the opportunity we see across the project. Importantly, these first three holes represent a 40-metre step-out into previously untested ground, demonstrating the potential to extend mineralization beyond our previous drilling. With our 14,000 metre drill program continuing and assays currently pending from 12 holes, we are excited about the results still to come.”
