K2 Drills 27.43m of 4.03 g/t Au at Dragonfly, Confirms Multiple Stacked High-Grade Oxide Gold Structures
K2’s Dragonfly step-back confirms stacked oxide gold with a best intercept of 27.4m at 4.08 g/t below the 2026 anchor.

K2 Gold Corporation reported assay results from four new drill holes at the Dragonfly target on its Mojave Project: DF26-021, DF26-022, DF26-023, and DF26-024. These holes were drilled from pad DF-F, located 40 meters west of the 2020 discovery hole DF20-002.
The company provided the following apparent-width intercepts:
- DF26-023: 27.43m at 4.08 g/t Au from 82.30m, including 15.24m at 5.30 g/t Au.
- DF26-024: 3.05m at 17.55 g/t Au from 62.48m, then 28.95m at 2.03 g/t Au from 97.54m, including 16.76m at 3.03 g/t Au.
- DF26-021: 32.01m at 2.02 g/t Au from 50.29m, including 4.57m at 8.81 g/t Au.
- DF26-022: 33.53m at 1.63 g/t Au from 102.11m, including 6.10m at 4.97 g/t Au and 4.58m at 3.67 g/t Au.
K2 Gold stated that the results confirm multiple stacked west-dipping gold-bearing structures that remain open in all directions. To date, 23 holes totaling 4,182 meters have been completed as part of a permitted and funded 14,000-meter campaign. Drilling is now being conducted by Newmont, with 16 holes pending assay results.
K2 Gold Corporation (KTO) is a pre-resource explorer with a market capitalization of approximately C$211M and no mineral resource estimate. The company has de-risked permitting, financing, and initial Dragonfly drilling, with its share price roughly doubling from the 2025 low and reaching near the 52-week high.
The market’s current anchor is the August 18, 2026 Dragonfly result, specifically DF26-020, which returned 39.62m at 5.35 g/t Au. Against that benchmark, the new best continuous intercept is shorter, lower grade, and yields about half the gram-metre product. While the new release provides useful confirmation of stacked structures and extends the system laterally and down-dip from the 2020 discovery, it does not represent a clean upgrade or a step-change discovery.
K2 Gold Corporation is a pre-revenue gold explorer listed on the TSX-V and OTCQX. Its flagship Mojave Project in California covers over 6,000 hectares and features oxide gold and polymetallic targets, with a 14,000m drill program currently underway.
Drilling is focused on the Dragonfly zone, which consists of shallow, oxidized, stacked west-dipping gold structures. The company is also drilling the Newmont zone, a southern target along the Eastside Gold Trend. Additionally, the Morningstar target contains high-grade Ag-Au-Cu showings and historical drilling, though it is separate from the current Dragonfly release.
In Nevada, the Si2 Project involves low-sulphidation epithermal gold exploration. Drilling in 2026 confirmed broad low-grade gold but no economic grades. The company also holds early-stage gold exploration assets at the Wels and Wolf projects in the Yukon.
The balance sheet shows cash of about C$31.1M at Q2 2026 with no debt, although there has been significant share count growth from financing.
