Eagle Plains Samples up to 269g/t Au at the Pine Channel Gold Project, Saskatchewan
Eagle Plains reports high-grade grab samples at Pine Channel following the Dufferin option termination, with the project generator model remaining on track.

Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (EPL) has released results from its 2026 field program at the 100%-owned Pine Channel Gold Project in Saskatchewan. The initiative collected 55 rock samples, including a grab sample from the Pit Occurrence that returned 269 g/t Au. Thirteen samples returned greater than 1 g/t Au, with three samples exceeding 100 g/t Au.
Comprehensive data interpretation is currently underway to prioritize targets for future diamond drill testing. The property remains subject to a 2% NSR held by Summit Royalties, which includes a 1% buy-back clause.
Separately, Refined Energy Corp. elected to terminate its option agreement on the Dufferin uranium project, ending the partnership for that specific asset.
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (EPL) reported high-grade grab samples from its Pine Channel property, including an intercept of 269 g/t Au. These results align with historical high-grade grab results at the site, such as the 427 g/t Au reported in January 2026. Grab samples are inherently selective and do not define resources, reserves, or economic viability.
The company also terminated the Dufferin option, removing a potential future exploration partner and revenue stream. However, the financial impact is considered immaterial given the company's $7.53M cash balance and diversified portfolio.
Following the Dufferin termination news in early August, the stock has traded in a tight $0.18–$0.20 range, indicating the market has not reacted significantly to the event.
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (EPL) is a project generator focused on acquiring and exploring mineral properties in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Its key assets include the Pine Channel gold property, the Theory copper-gold deposit, the Iron Range gold-lead-zinc project, the George Lake zinc-lead property, and a uranium portfolio in Saskatchewan that includes the Dufferin, Don Lake, and Smitty properties. The company also operates TerraLogic Exploration, which provides third-party geological services. Its strategy involves optioning properties to junior companies while retaining royalties, and spinning off assets to attract merger and acquisition interest.
