Hannan Stavatrask Maiden Drilling Hits Gold in Every Hole Across 650 m Strike; High-Grade 0.6 m at 27.8 g/t Au and Broader Target of 9.2 m at 1.3 g/t Au Confirm Large-Scale System; IP Geophysics Next
Hannan reports maiden gold assays at the Stavatrask project, confirming mineralisation across the deposit despite early-stage intercepts.

Hannan Metals Ltd. (HAN) has released the first five assayed drill holes, ST2601 to ST2605, from its maiden diamond-drill program at Stavatrask in the Skellefteå district of northern Sweden. The seven-hole program totalled 1,040 m across a 650 m strike length within an interpreted 7 km corridor. All five reported holes intersected gold mineralization.
Reported composite intervals use a 0.5 g/t Au cutoff with a maximum of 2 m internal dilution. Key reported intercepts are:
- ST2601: 4.5 m at 1.4 g/t Au, 8.2 g/t Ag from 80.0 m, including 0.5 m at 8.9 g/t Au, 47.5 g/t Ag.
- ST2602: 5.6 m at 1.4 g/t Au, 1.3 g/t Ag from 79.4 m, including 0.4 m at 9.9 g/t Au, 4.4 g/t Ag.
- ST2603: 1.3 m at 2.6 g/t Au, 1.9 g/t Ag from 12.0 m.
- ST2604: 9.2 m at 1.3 g/t Au, 0.7 g/t Ag from 29.9 m, including 1.0 m at 3.7 g/t Au and 0.8 m at 5.0 g/t Au.
- ST2605: 1.1 m at 15.6 g/t Au, 2.9 g/t Ag from 35.6 m, including 0.6 m at 27.8 g/t Au, 5.0 g/t Ag.
ST2601 also returned a polymetallic sample: 0.5 m at 8.9 g/t Au, 47.5 g/t Ag and 0.74 percent Cu. Assays for ST2606 and ST2607 remain pending.
Hannan Metals Ltd. (HAN) is a junior explorer with no revenue, no mineral resources at Stavatrask, and no reserves. Stavatrask is not the company’s flagship asset; Previsto in Peru remains the main project. The drilling does not yet define a resource, a mineable width, or a continuous orebody. The best reported intercepts are only in the encouraging band and are largely narrow high-grade or broad low-grade.
The market context is important: the stock rose from about CAD 0.47 on 10 June 2026 to CAD 0.89 by 12 August 2026, a gain of roughly 89 percent before this release. The actual first assays are positive but do not yet rise to the standard of a company-maker.
Hannan Metals Ltd. (TSXV: HAN) is a pre-revenue mineral explorer listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Its flagship asset is the Previsto gold-copper project in Peru, described as an alkaline epithermal to porphyry system. The company also holds an option to earn 100 percent of three Swedish gold projects: Stavatrask, Skelleftea North, and Adelfors.
Prior drilling at Belen in Peru showed only modest porphyry or peripheral gold results. The company has no mineral resource or reserve estimates at Stavatrask, Skelleftea North, or Adelfors.
Financially, the company’s working capital was about CAD 7.7 million as of the latest provided financial period. Total assets were approximately CAD 21.3 million, with no disclosed debt.
