Sterling Expands High-Grade Copper Mineralization East at MEPS Intersecting 203 Metres at 0.51% CuEq: Includes 16.25 Metres at 2.31% CuEq and 9.50 Metres at 2.34% CuEq within 445 Metres at 0.40% CuEq
Sterling’s step-out hole extends high-grade copper east, though true width remains undisclosed.

Sterling Metals Corp. (SAG) has released assay results from drill hole SC‑26‑13 at the MEPS Zone of its Soo Copper Project in Ontario. The hole was positioned approximately 100 meters east of the prior hole SC‑26‑10 and intersected four key intervals.
The results include: * 445.0 m @ 0.40% CuEq (0.24% Cu, 172 ppm Mo, 0.05 g/t Au, 2.09 g/t Ag) * Near‑surface: 203.10 m @ 0.51% CuEq (0.38% Cu, 43.4 ppm Mo, 0.09 g/t Au, 2.99 g/t Ag) from 40.9 m * High‑grade: 16.25 m @ 2.31% CuEq (1.90% Cu, 0.226 g/t Au, 12.09 g/t Ag) from 176.0 m * High‑grade: 9.50 m @ 2.34% CuEq (1.29% Cu, 0.88 g/t Au, 20.72 g/t Ag) from 74.0 m * Deep interval: 7.4 m @ 1.49% CuEq (1.13% Cu, 259.5 ppm Mo) from 459.0 m * Additional: 60.0 m @ 0.40% CuEq from 407.0 m
Copper equivalent (CuEq) grades were calculated using three-year trailing average prices of $4.18/lb for copper, $2,600/oz for gold, $30.54/oz for silver, and $21.46/lb for molybdenum, along with 80% metallurgical recoveries. The company noted that the mineralization is associated with GFP porphyry sills and that the MEPS footprint now exceeds 1 km in strike length.
Sterling Metals Corp. (SAG) reported a step-out hole from a previously known high-grade discovery. The market had already priced in the large porphyry system following the SC-26-10 results on July 29, which pushed the stock from approximately $0.93 to $1.09 prior to this release. The explorer currently has no resource, and a going-concern warning in the MD&A underscores funding risks.
Sterling Metals Corp. (TSXV:SAG) is a junior explorer focused on its flagship Soo Copper porphyry project in Ontario, Canada. The MEPS Discovery represents a large copper-molybdenum-gold-silver system characterized by wide lower-grade envelopes and high-grade cores associated with felsic porphyry sills. The company’s portfolio also includes the Adeline Project in Labrador and the acquired QcX Gold land package, which expands its land position to approximately 35,000 hectares in the Batchawana belt.
The company currently holds no mineral resources or economic studies. As of March 31, 2026, Sterling Metals reported cash of approximately $11.1 million with no debt. Its market capitalization ranges from C$43 million to C$50 million, depending on the share price.
