Sterling Drills Molybdenum Rich Breccia Below MEPS Discovery Intersecting 57 m of 0.81% CuEq Within a Near-Surface 358 m of 0.50% CuEq Including 8.5 m of 4.74% CuEq
Sterling’s Mo-rich breccia adds co-product potential to bulk grades in the good-not-great porphyry band.

Sterling Metals Corp. (SAG) reported assay results from three drill holes—SC-26-10, SC-26-11, and SC-26-12—at the MEPS zone of its Soo Copper project. Hole SC-26-10, drilled near-vertically, intersected a thick near-surface mineralized package of 497.6 meters grading 0.41% CuEq starting from a depth of 4 meters. This interval included 358 meters at 0.50% CuEq. A high-grade core within the hole returned 24.65 meters at 1.94% CuEq, which included 8.50 meters at 4.73% CuEq. Additionally, a deeper molybdenum-rich breccia yielded 57 meters at 0.81% CuEq, driven by 1,077 ppm Mo.
Holes SC-26-11 and SC-26-12 demonstrated wide, low-grade continuity toward the Jogran prospect. SC-26-11 returned 317.2 meters at 0.25% CuEq, while SC-26-12 returned 477 meters at 0.23% CuEq.
Sterling Metals Corp. (SAG) released results that add a molybdenum dimension to its previously highlighted data. The bulk grades reported are only marginally better than prior results, with holes drilled on July 13 averaging approximately 0.30–0.34% CuEq.
The company’s stock has declined from a high of C$3.06 to C$0.90, reflecting a market that has already priced in a large system but remains skeptical about grade and continuity.
Sterling Metals Corp. (SAG) is a pre-revenue junior explorer focused exclusively on the Soo Copper porphyry project in Ontario. The company consolidated a district-scale land package via the acquisition of QcX Gold. Sterling Metals currently holds no mineral resources or reserves.
A discovery hole drilled in 2025, designated MEPS-25-02, returned 262.5 m @ 1.05% CuEq. The company’s 2026 drill program aims to test the scale of the MEPS zone. Historical financials indicate a going-concern warning, with C$11.1 M in cash as of Q1 2026 and a commitment to spend C$4.3 M on exploration by year-end.
