Inventus Reports Up to 75% Gold Recovery from Heap Leach Testwork at Pardo
Inventus heap leach tests confirm front-loaded recovery, validating a low-cost processing pathway for its project.

Inventus Mining Corp. released metallurgical column leach test results for its 100%-owned Pardo "River of Gold" Project in Ontario. Column leach recoveries ranged from 66.9% to 74.5% after 78 days, with the -1/4 inch crush size showing the strongest performance at 74.5%. Recovery is front-loaded, with 72% of gold recovered within the first 48 days, suggesting a potential optimization window for cycle time.
Reagent efficiency is favorable, with low total cyanide consumption of 1.14 kg/t over 78 days and no lime addition required to maintain optimal leach pH above 10.5. Process mineralogy indicates 86% to 92% of unrecovered gold resides in the coarse fraction, highlighting gold liberation and solution access as critical controls.
Management is evaluating a flexible two-product processing concept: ore sorting to send higher-grade material to an existing mill, while heap leaching lower-grade fractions on-site to reduce transport and milling costs. Next steps include additional testing on different lower-grade material and ore-sorting streams, plus gold deportment, mineralogical, porosity, permeability, and dye-penetration studies.
Inventus Mining Corp. (IVS) reported that heap leach testing results are technically encouraging, though incremental. This testing was previously identified as part of the long-term processing evaluation in the company’s December 2025 year-end outlook. The data validates that Pardo’s mineralization is responsive to cyanide leaching, supporting the economic thesis for a low-capital, low-operating-cost processing route.
There is no immediate financial or operational impact from these findings. The company remains in the exploration and bulk-sampling phase, targeting a maiden resource estimate for Q4 2026. The news does not alter the near-term cash burn profile or funding requirements, but it adds technical confidence to a previously announced strategic pathway.
Inventus Mining Corp. is focused on the Pardo "River of Gold" Project, a 100%-owned paleoplacer gold property located approximately 65 km northeast of Sudbury, Ontario. The project features shallow, flat-lying gold mineralization across multiple stacked conglomerate layers, including the Main, Upper, and Matinenda Layers.
The company is currently conducting bulk sampling and resource drilling aimed at derisking development and supporting a maiden resource estimate. The strategic approach involves a near-term mine-and-haul model leveraging existing regional milling infrastructure, specifically McEwen Inc.'s Stock Mill, to generate cash flow. This is followed by a long-term evaluation of on-site processing options, such as heap leach and ore sorting, to reduce costs and expand economic tonnes.
