West Point Gold Drills 30.4 m of 2.31 g/t Au at Tyro Main Zone
West Point’s Tyro Main infill drilling returned 30.4m at 2.31 g/t Au, confirming continuity without exploration step-outs.

West Point Gold Corp. (WPG) reported results from 18 holes totaling 4,304m at the Tyro Main and Decimal Hill zones. Headline hole GC26-138 at Tyro Main intersected 30.4m @ 2.31 g/t Au from 49.2m, including a 2.8m void from a historic adit. The interval is split by the adit: 7.7m @ 2.18 g/t above and 22.7m @ 2.36 g/t below. The estimated true width is 28m.
Other Tyro Main intercepts include GC26-162, which returned 59.5m @ 0.68 g/t Au (TW 37m) at depth, and GC26-164, which cut 15.2m @ 0.62 g/t Au. Decimal Hill returned only low-grade intercepts, with a maximum of 12.2m @ 0.49 g/t Au, and showed no coherent vein structure. The release frames results as supporting the maiden resource estimate due late Q3/early Q4 2026.
West Point Gold Corp. (WPG) released incremental data that fills in details for its imminent maiden resource estimate. The market had already priced in a substantial resource following high-grade NE Tyro intercepts earlier in the year. The stock rallied from approximately $0.30 to over $2.00 between August 2025 and February 2026, and has since corrected to $1.34. These Tyro Main infill results do not alter the resource scale or grade outlook, nor do they de-risk execution.
For a pre-resource explorer, a routine infill result that merely confirms known geology typically receives a muted market reaction. The Decimal Hill miss is negative but was not a core driver of valuation.
West Point Gold Corp. (WPG) is a Canadian junior explorer advancing its Gold Chain project in Arizona, which features low-sulphidation epithermal gold deposits. The project includes the Tyro Main and NE Tyro zones, with a maiden resource planned for the second half of 2026. The company also holds the Baxter Spring property in Nevada and maintains a strategic agreement with Kinross at Jefferson Canyon.
West Point Gold raised C$25M in February 2026, holding $20.3M USD in cash as of the first quarter of 2026. The company has no debt. A key risk remains the going-concern flag, despite the strong cash position, as the company is reliant on future equity raises.
