West Point Gold to Commence 30,000 m Drill Program
West Point’s aggressive 30,000 metre drill program advances toward a maiden resource at the Gold Chain project.

West Point Gold Corp. has announced plans to commence a 30,000-meter drilling program at its Gold Chain project in Arizona. The initiative combines reverse circulation (RC) and core drilling to expand high-grade zones at NE Tyro and Tyro Main, while also testing new targets including Black Dyke, Sheep Trail, Bull 8, and Frisco Graben. This effort aims to build on the foundation of the upcoming maiden resource estimate, which is targeted for late Q3 or early Q4 2026. Recent drill intercepts across multiple targets have highlighted geological continuity and potential for satellite resources.
In administrative updates, the company secured shareholder approval for a DSU/RSU Plan allowing for up to 13.7 million shares. Additionally, West Point Gold Corp. has engaged Equedia Network Corp. for $500,000 in investor relations services.
West Point Gold Corp. (WPG) announced a planned, incremental step in its aggressive exploration strategy, aligning with previous management guidance that targets a maiden resource in late Q3 or early Q4 2026. This drill program follows the August 2026 royalty buyback, in which the company extinguished a 2% NSR for $960k, a move that simplified ownership and consolidated the land base. The announcement introduces no new unexpected catalysts or financial surprises, as the market has already priced in the exploration success and upcoming resource definition.
West Point Gold Corp. (WPG) is an exploration-stage junior focused on the Gold Chain project in Arizona, alongside properties in Nevada, including Baxter Spring and Jefferson Canyon, and sites in Nunavut. The company’s flagship asset, the Gold Chain project, encompasses approximately 4,539 hectares of Bureau of Land Management claims and 15 patented claims. Key zones within the project include Tyro Main, NE Tyro, Black Dyke, Sheep Trail, Bull 8, and the district-scale Frisco Graben.
Metallurgical testing, specifically Phase 2, demonstrates high gold recoveries of 87-92% for milled material, supporting multiple processing paths such as heap leach or conventional milling. Management aims to deliver a maiden resource estimate for the Tyro Main Zone in late Q3 or early Q4 2026.
