Elemental Royalty Notes 32% Increase in Reserves at Karlawinda with Expansion Commissioning on Track for Q3 2026
Elemental expands Karlawinda reserves by 32% as the project remains on track while its stock consolidates near multi-month lows.

Elemental Royalty Corporation (ELE) reported a 32% increase in Probable Mineral Reserves at its Karlawinda Gold Project, rising from 1.19 million ounces to 1.57 million ounces of gold. The updated reserve base is based on 76.4 million tonnes at 0.6 g/t gold, incorporating depletion of approximately 103,000 ounces from mining through March 31, 2026. Additionally, Indicated Mineral Resources increased 30% to 124.9 million tonnes at 0.6 g/t gold, totaling 2.38 million ounces.
The expanded reserve base supports an approximate 10-year mine life based on the upcoming processing capacity increase. Capricorn Metals is nearing completion of a plant expansion targeting 6.5 million tonnes per annum throughput, with commissioning and transition to full operations expected in Q3 2026. Annual gold production is anticipated to increase to approximately 150,000 ounces post-expansion. Elemental holds an uncapped 2% NSR royalty on the project.
Price assumptions used by Capricorn range from A$2,200 to A$2,600/oz for reserves and A$2,800/oz for resources. Karlawinda contributed US$8.9 million in zero-cost revenue in 2025 prior to expansion completion.
Elemental Royalty Corporation released an operational reserve update rather than an earnings report, confirming a 32% increase in reserves and a Q3 2026 commissioning timeline. These developments were previously telegraphed through multiple prior updates, including the October 2024 approval, March 2026 guidance, and the April 2026 portfolio update.
The market has already priced in the expansion trajectory, with the stock declining approximately 11.5% since the Q1 2026 earnings release. The share price moved from approximately $24.34 on March 24 to approximately $21.54 on July 28, reflecting a wait-and-see stance ahead of commissioning. The update confirms existing guidance and extends mine life, validating the current thesis without providing a catalyst to reverse the recent downtrend.
