Orogen Royalties Announces Project, Partner and Royalty Update
Orogen’s Ermitaño royalty generates cash flow while partner-funded exploration updates show incremental progress without new material catalysts.

Orogen Royalties Inc. (OGN) released a mid-year update covering 44,000m of partner-funded drilling across seven projects in H1 2026. Highlighted among the results was the Ermitaño infill drilling, which confirmed a previously released intercept: EWUG-26-089, reporting 23.59 g/t Au & 359 g/t Ag over 2.49m true width.
The company received $1.72M YTD from project sales and partner payments, resulting in the creation of two new royalties. In related development news, Kingfisher Metals received a $20.8M strategic investment from Barrick on the HWY 37 project, with a 15,000m program currently underway.
Other key developments include La Rica (MCC), which secured $75M in financing and commenced a 10,000m drill program, while MPD South obtained $15M in financing for a two-rig, 16,500m program. Assays for the Maggie Creek hole THX-25001 are pending, and drilling has begun on a Si2 disseminated gold system and at Jake Creek. Additionally, a 2,517m epithermal program at Luna Roja suggests a large system.
Looking ahead, Orogen forecasts 14 partner-funded drill programs totaling 69,000m for 2026, with six additional programs scheduled for H2 to add 25,000m.
Orogen Royalties Inc. (OGN) issued a corporate update on July 27, which did not contain fresh drill results. The key Ermitaño number had been disclosed a month earlier, with the market pricing the information as the stock rose from $3.55 to $3.70 on June 29-30.
New information in the update includes Barrick’s investment in Kingfisher (HWY 37) and updates on La Rica and MPD South financing. These developments represent incremental positives for Orogen’s royalty pipeline but are several steps removed from near-term cash flow.
As a royalty and project generator, Orogen’s materiality hinges on production and major discoveries. The release confirms ongoing activity with no negative surprises, but no game-changing developments.
Compared to the price chart, the stock has been trading in a $3.20–$3.80 range since March 2026, with a high of $4.00 in January. The release is unlikely to break that pattern.
Orogen Royalties Inc. (OGN) is a precious metals royalty and project generation company that spun out from Triple Flag in July 2025. The company’s core producing asset is a 2% NSR on First Majestic’s Ermitaño mine, part of the Santa Elena complex in Mexico, which generated approximately $9.6 million in royalty revenue in 2025. Major mineral resources at Ermitaño and the adjacent Navidad project include 380 koz of Measured and Indicated gold, 670 koz of Inferred gold, and significant silver.
Orogen’s portfolio also includes emerging royalties such as MPD South (Kodiak Copper), HWY 37/Hank (Kingfisher/Barrick/Teck), La Rica (MCC) in Colombia, Maggie Creek (NGM), and Spring Peak (Headwater/Newmont). The company’s business model focuses on generating projects through alliances with partners like Altius, South32, and Triple Flag, then selling or optioning them while retaining royalties to facilitate self-funded growth with minimal dilution.
Financially, Orogen reported FY2025 revenue of $12.6 million and net income of $4.6 million. For the first quarter of 2026, net income reached $4.4 million, representing a 144% year-over-year increase. The company holds $30 million in working capital and carries no debt.
