Galway Metals Commences Preliminary Economic Assessment at Clarence Stream Gold Project
Galway has launched the preliminary economic assessment for its Clarence Stream project, targeting completion in the first quarter of 2027.

Galway Metals Inc. has engaged BBA E&C Inc. to conduct a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for its 100%-owned Clarence Stream Gold Project in southwestern New Brunswick. The study is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.
The PEA will build directly upon the updated July 13, 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), which reported 27.2 million tonnes of Indicated resources grading 1.62 g/t Au (1.42 moz) and 28.5 million tonnes of Inferred resources grading 1.40 g/t Au (1.29 moz). The project encompasses the North, South, and Southwest deposits, with ongoing drilling across a 65-kilometre district-scale trend.
The study will evaluate mining and processing alternatives, infrastructure requirements, capital and operating costs, and engineering trade-off studies to define the preferred development path. CEO Rob Hinchcliffe stated that the updated MRE provides a strong foundation and that current gold market strength makes this the appropriate time to advance the technical evaluation phase.
Galway Metals Inc. (GWM) announced a standard progression in its project development lifecycle following the July 13 resource update. The engagement of engineering firm BBA E&C and a clear target for completion in Q1 2027 provides a concrete milestone for the project. This development confirms the company is executing on its stated roadmap without introducing unexpected variables.
Galway Metals Inc. (GWM) is a pre-revenue junior exploration company advancing two primary projects in Canada: Clarence Stream in New Brunswick and Estrades in Quebec. Clarence Stream serves as the flagship project, featuring a 65-kilometre strike length with high-grade gold and antimony mineralization. The project is in the advanced exploration stage, with metallurgical testing confirming up to 98% gold and 84% antimony recoveries.
Estrades is a former producing polymetallic VMS mine for gold, zinc, copper, and silver that recently completed a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) showing strong economics, including a 33% after-tax internal rate of return (IRR) at long-term prices and 61% at spot prices. The company is focused on resource expansion, technical studies, and securing strategic partnerships to advance both projects toward production.
