Galway Metals Continues to Demonstrate Broad Gold Mineralization at Southwest Deposit; 2.0 g/t Gold Over 68.0 Metres
Galway’s Southwest infill drilling returned 136 g-m widths, confirming the resource is not re-rated.

Galway Metals Inc. (GWM) has released assay results from 14 diamond drill holes at the Southwest Deposit of its Clarence Stream gold-antimony project in New Brunswick.
Key intercepts from the drilling program include:
- Hole BL-328 returned 2.0 g/t Au over 68.0m, including 54.4 g/t over 1.0m, 9.4 g/t over 1.0m and 8.7 g/t over 1.0m. The hole also returned a separate 1.0 g/t Au over 52.0m beginning 7.0m below the 68.0m interval.
- Hole BL-311 returned 3.3 g/t Au over 23.0m, including 56.2 g/t over 1.0m and 5.5 g/t over 1.0m, plus separate intervals of 6.3 g/t over 5.0m, 9.0 g/t over 3.0m, 1.5 g/t over 12.0m and 1.6 g/t over 11.0m.
- Hole BL-329 returned 3.2 g/t Au over 11.0m, including 17.0 g/t and 14.7 g/t over 1.0m each.
- Hole BL-294 returned 2.3 g/t Au over 16.0m, including 9.2 g/t over 3.0m and 4.1 g/t over 1.0m.
The company described the results as demonstrating broad continuity within the resource, with infill drilling conducted at approximately 25m spacing and expansion testing occurring outside the pit shell. Only four holes were highlighted in the release, and the complete assay and coordinate table referenced was not provided in the supplied materials.
Galway Metals Inc. (GWM) is an advanced explorer rather than a producer, holding a 2.71 moz combined Indicated and Inferred resource at Clarence Stream with a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) expected in Q1 2027. Recent drilling at the Southwest Deposit serves as infill and resource-definition work, with some expansion potential. The new holes are at or above the Southwest resource grade, confirming continuity.
The prior release on Aug 5, 2026, reported hole BL-328 at 2.6 g/t over 48.0m, equivalent to about 124.8 g-m. The new BL-328 at 136.0 g-m is comparable, representing no material step-change. The stock had already recovered from the July post-resource low to C$0.64 by Aug 21 before this release.
Because this is infill and resource-definition, the relevant anchor is the resource grade, not the best prior headline hole. BL-328 at 2.0 g/t over 68m is above the Southwest Indicated grade of about 1.43 g/t and open-pit Indicated grade of about 1.58 g/t. This does not materially change the resource, thesis, or valuation on its own. It is positive confirmation with depth interest, but not game-changing.
Galway Metals Inc. (GWM) is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company. Its flagship asset is the 100% owned Clarence Stream gold-antimony project in New Brunswick, which features approximately 65km of strike and holds 2.71 million ounces of combined Indicated and Inferred gold resources based on a July 13, 2026 estimate. These resources are predominantly open-pit constrained, with grades ranging from 1.4 to 1.6 grams per tonne of gold, supported by higher-grade internal zones and potential antimony by-product value.
The company also holds a 90% interest in Estrades, a former-producing gold-zinc volcanogenic massive sulfide asset in Quebec, while DOWA retains a 10% stake. DOWA has the option to earn up to a 45% interest by funding up to US$25 million. A 2026 Preliminary Economic Assessment for Estrades outlines strong economics under both toll-milling and on-site milling scenarios. Galway Metals currently has no producing mines or revenue, funding its exploration activities through equity placements and strategic partner funding.
