GreenLight Metals Intersects 52.18m of 1.12 g/t Au (1.28% CuEq) Including 10.82m of 2.49 g/t Au (2.75% CuEq) at the Bend VMS Deposit in Wisconsin

GreenLight reports a broad gold footwall hit extending the Bend VMS deposit, though copper grades underwhelm compared to prior rich copper intersections.

Executive Summary

GreenLight Metals Inc. (GRL) has released assay results from three drill holes at its Bend VMS project, including the down-dip step-out B26-009, its wedge B26-009W, and the down-dip extension B26-011. The company states these results help refine the geological model linking the gold-bearing footwall and the copper-rich massive sulfide horizon.

The headline hole, B26-009W, returned: * 52.18m @ 1.12 g/t Au (1.28% CuEq), including 10.82m @ 2.49 g/t Au (2.75% CuEq).

Hole B26-009, which terminated in mineralization, returned: * 42.12m @ 1.31 g/t Au (1.50% CuEq).

Hole B26-011 cut: * 18.75m @ 0.93 g/t Au and 0.53% Cu (1.52% CuEq), with a higher-grade copper sub-interval of 4.39m @ 1.27% Cu (3.06% CuEq).

Phase 2 drilling, comprising an initial ~4,000m portion, is nearing completion. The company plans an additional ~2,000m to test the eastward plunge.

Material Impact

GreenLight Metals Inc. (GRL) reported a routine step-out drill result that confirms the mineralized system extends to the east, though at grades lower than previous copper-rich intercepts. The discovery of a gold-only footwall represents an interesting geological nuance but does not materially alter the project’s resource potential at this stage. The company’s flagship Bend project remains a modest-grade volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposit with significant but not exceptional copper and gold values.

The company’s market capitalization stands at approximately C$30 million, with cash burn continuing and a going concern warning in place. A more significant catalyst is the FAST-41 permitting transparency designation, announced on July 20. Today’s drill results are unlikely to impact the stock price given the prior sell-off and the relatively soft copper-equivalent numbers compared to previous market expectations.

Regarding the stock chart, the price had declined from C$0.53 to C$0.24 before recently bouncing to C$0.30 on the FAST-41 catalyst. This drill result does not provide a fresh high-grade surprise to sustain that bounce.

Company Overview

GreenLight Metals Inc. (GRL) is a TSXV-listed junior explorer focused on the Penokean Volcanic Belt in Wisconsin. Its primary asset is the Bend VMS project, which holds historical (non-43-101) estimates of 4 Mt @ 1.74% Cu, 2.44 g/t Au. The company also holds the Reef high-grade gold project, Lobo/Lobo East VMS targets, and the Kalium Canyon epithermal gold project in Nevada, which is under a Barrick earn-in term sheet.

The company completed a C$11.5M bought deal in late 2025 and currently has approximately C$8.7M in cash. However, it is burning approximately C$1.5M per quarter. GreenLight Metals has a going concern qualification and will need additional financing.
