NeoTerrex Minerals Receives Greenlight to Advance 2026 Exploration at the Strange Lake West Project
Neoterrex advances permits for its Strange Lake West project, strengthening its critical metals portfolio ahead of the upcoming summer field season.

Neoterrex Minerals Inc. (NTX) has received authorization from the Kativik Regional Government (KRG) to proceed with its 2026 exploration program at the Strange Lake West project in Nunavik, Québec. The approved program encompasses geological mapping, rock sampling, geochemical surveying, and lake-bottom sediment sampling, with field activities scheduled to commence in August 2026.
The project is located adjacent to Torngat Metals Ltd.'s Strange Lake heavy rare earth element (HREE) deposit and has never been drilled. Historical grab samples from the site have returned total rare earth oxide (TREO) values of up to 1.40%, including dysprosium. Management views this authorization as a foundational step to evaluate historical rare earth occurrences and refine targets for future exploration.
The KRG’s approval includes strict environmental stewardship requirements, specifically regarding waste management, wildlife protection, and caribou monitoring.
Neoterrex Minerals Inc. (NTX) announced a routine operational milestone that aligns with prior management guidance and the Q1 2026 MD&A. The update confirms regulatory progress for the Strange Lake West project, which is scheduled to begin in August 2026 following community engagement, as part of Phase 1 surface work.
The announcement does not disclose new resource estimates, financial results, or strategic shifts. While the permit signifies regulatory advancement, it does not de-risk the geological or economic viability of the project. Given the company's small market capitalization and exploration-stage status, the update maintains project momentum without altering the financial outlook.
Neoterrex Minerals Inc. (NTX) is a Quebec-based exploration company focused on critical minerals, particularly rare earth elements (REEs), tungsten, copper, gold, and silver. The company’s portfolio includes five primary projects: Strange Lake West (HREEs), Galactic (Zr, REEs), Revolver (REEs), Monument (REEs), and Gravitas (W, Cu, Au, Ag).
Strange Lake West is currently the most advanced permitting milestone, leveraging its proximity to Torngat Metals' established HREE deposit. Revolver has shown strong grab sample results, with values up to 12.87% TREO, while Gravitas has expanded into a polymetallic tungsten-copper-gold-silver target. Monument is positioned near the Montviel REE deposit and has commenced a maiden 2,000-metre drill program. The company's strategy relies on low-cost exploration, proximity to infrastructure, and capturing Western supply chain demand for critical minerals.
