NexGold Continues to Advance Key Development Activities at the Goldboro Gold Project in Nova Scotia
NeXGold advances its Goldboro project toward a construction decision, targeting a heavily nuggety, high-grade gold system.

NeXGold Mining Corp. (NEXG) issued a monthly project update on July 21, 2026, covering the Goldboro Gold Project. The release restates previously reported significant intercepts from the ongoing RC infill program and announces an expansion of the program from 30,000 to 40,000 metres, a change already disclosed on July 9.
The company also reported progress on the updated Feasibility Study, with completion expected by the end of Q3 2026. The open pit Mineral Resource Estimate is now complete, and two fish habitat compensation projects have begun. Initial capital costs have been reviewed.
No new assay results are provided; all intercepts shown were previously released to the market on June 25 and July 9. These intercepts include:
- 61.22 g/t Au over 12.0 m
- 5.85 g/t over 13.0 m
- 12.06 g/t over 6.0 m
- 3.84 g/t over 18.0 m
NeXGold Mining Corp. (NEXG) released a progress update on July 21, which did not constitute a new discovery or a material change to its operations. The drill results included in the update had been known for weeks and were already reflected in the stock price. The company had previously announced the expansion of its reverse circulation (RC) program to 40,000 meters on July 9.
While the feasibility study update and permit-related milestones are viewed as positive, they are considered incremental. NeXGold has been communicating these developments throughout 2026. The market currently prices the stock at a steep discount to its 52-week high, and the ongoing news flow has not halted the downtrend. For a developer with a market capitalization of approximately C$300 million, an infill update without resource expansion is considered neutral to mildly positive.
NeXGold Mining Corp. is a Canadian gold developer based in Toronto. The company holds two primary assets: the fully permitted Goldboro Gold Project in Nova Scotia, which is advancing toward a construction decision, and the Goliath Gold Complex in Ontario, which is in the pre-feasibility study (PFS) stage.
Goldboro has 2.6 moz measured and indicated (M&I) gold resources split between open pit (~1.4 moz at 2.82 g/t) and underground (~1.2 moz at 6.09 g/t). The 2022 feasibility study (FS) outlined a 10.9-year mine life with average production of 100 koz/year at an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of US$849/oz and a C$271M initial capital expenditure (capex). An updated FS is expected in Q3 2026.
The Goliath complex holds reserves of 1.27 moz proven and probable (P&P) and M&I resources of 2.14 moz. The company also owns the Niblack polymetallic project in Alaska. The balance sheet had ~C$105M in cash as of Q1 2026 and remains debt-free after a debt repayment in 2025.
