Golconda Gold Releases Q2 2026 Production Update at Galaxy And Announces Mobilisation of Mining Contractor at Summit
Golconda delivered its first Summit ore on July 7 while Galaxy gold output stagnated at 3,648oz.

Golconda Gold Ltd. (GG) reported second-quarter 2026 gold production of 3,648 ounces from its Galaxy Gold Mine, marking a 20% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Production remained essentially flat quarter-over-quarter, compared to 3,637 ounces in Q1 2026. Ore mined decreased to 40,159 tonnes from 44,042 tonnes in the first quarter, with grades declining at both the Princeton site to 3.75 g/t and the Galaxy site to 2.56 g/t.
At the Summit Mine in New Mexico, the company announced the appointment of High Desert Mining as the contractor. Mobilization began on May 25, 2026, and the first ore was delivered to the surface on July 7, 2026. Wet commissioning of the plant and first concentrate production are expected by the end of September 2026.
Golconda Gold Ltd. (GG) issued an operations update today that included no new financials, no change to full-year guidance, and no unexpected operational surprises. Second-quarter gold production remained flat quarter-over-quarter, aligning with the company's recent run-rate. The announcement of the Summit contractor and the commencement of first ore represents the culmination of a previously communicated restart plan.
The stock has drifted lower in recent weeks, and this release provides no catalyst to alter that narrative. The news is considered routine and expected, offering no change to the company's operational outlook.
Golconda Gold Ltd. operates two core assets: the Galaxy Gold Mine in South Africa and the Summit Mine in New Mexico, USA. The Galaxy Gold Mine is an underground operation producing gold-in-concentrate for off-taker Ocean Partners. The site is currently ramping up with a 50,000 tpm mill capacity, eventually targeting approximately 45,000 oz/year.
The Summit Mine is a fully permitted past producer currently on care and maintenance, with a restart imminent. It will feed the Banner Mill, which has a capacity of 240 tpd, to produce gold and silver concentrates.
