Intrepid Metals Advances Porphyry Targeting at Corral Ahead of Integrated Geophysical Survey and Planned Q3 Drill Program
Corral Copper advances to Q3 drilling with new porphyry targets and geophysics.

Intrepid Metals Corp. (INTR) has issued an exploration update regarding its Corral Copper Project in Arizona. A technical review and core relogging effort identified porphyry-style features, including quartz-sericite-pyrite alteration, stockwork veining, and molybdenum-bearing mineralization.
The company is collaborating with strategic partner Teck Resources Limited on the exploration program. An approximately 65 line-kilometre induced polarization (IP) survey is scheduled to begin in early August 2026 to locate subsurface sulphide-rich intrusive centres. This is followed by a planned 10,000-metre drill campaign expected to start in September 2026. The drilling will allocate 5,000 metres to testing priority porphyry targets, with the remainder dedicated to evaluating carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) mineralization.
Intrepid Metals Corp. (INTR) announced a standard execution step in its 2026 exploration plan, identifying porphyry-style alteration and molybdenum mineralization. These findings align with previous geological models and management's stated objectives to vector toward a porphyry source. The planned geophysics and drilling schedule remain consistent with prior guidance and the capital raised in early 2026. No new financial data, strategic partnerships, or material changes to the project timeline were disclosed.
Intrepid Metals Corp. is a pre-revenue exploration company focused on high-grade copper, gold, silver, and zinc projects in Arizona. Its flagship Corral Copper Project is located in Cochise County, Arizona, near the historic Bisbee mining district. The project covers a 42 km² land package and hosts multiple styles of mineralization, including porphyry copper-gold and carbonate replacement deposits (CRD). Historical drilling at Corral exceeds 50,000 metres, with recent 2025 programs highlighting significant copper-gold-silver intercepts and porphyry indicators. The company also holds exploration properties at Tombstone South (Zn-Ag-Pb CRD/skarn) and Mesa Well (Cu porphyry).
