Production in Top Half of FY2026 Guidance
Alkane’s FY26 production reached the top half of guidance while its balance sheet swelled to $549m in liquidity.

Alkane Resources Limited (ALK) released its fourth-quarter FY2026 production update on July 7, 2026. Consolidated production for the quarter totaled 42,491 AuEq oz, comprising 40,949 oz of gold and 456 tonnes of antimony. For the full year, FY2026 production reached 168,337 AuEq oz, placing the result in the top half of the company’s guidance range of 160,000–175,000 AuEq oz.
The company’s balance sheet strengthened significantly during the period, with cash, bullion, and listed investments totaling $454 million at quarter-end. Pro forma liquidity stood at $549 million, including an undrawn $110 million revolving credit facility. Alkane Resources remains essentially debt-free, carrying only $17 million in equipment finance.
Regarding hedging activity, 8,500 ounces of gold were filled during the quarter. The company also paid tax instalments of $16 million. The next operational update, covering June quarter activities, is scheduled for July 21, 2026.
Alkane Resources Limited (ALK) released a routine quarterly production update that confirms management's execution capability against prior commitments. The production beat was expected, having been telegraphed by the steady quarterly builds throughout FY26.
Despite the positive production figures, the market reacted negatively, with the stock down approximately 25% from its April high. This suggests investors are discounting near-term cost pressures or awaiting the July 21 activities report for explicit AISC and capex clarity. There were no guidance changes, new capital raises, or dividend announcements accompanying the update.
Alkane Resources Limited (ALK), listed on the ASX and TSX, operates three producing mines: Tomingley (gold, NSW, Australia), Costerfield (gold-antimony, VIC, Australia), and Björkdal (gold, Sweden). The company merged with Mandalay Resources in August 2025, combining these assets. Additionally, the Boda-Kaiser project, a gold-copper porphyry deposit in NSW, Australia, is in the development phase, with a scoping study completed in July 2024.
