VR completes 2,900 ft hole and polyphase vein intersection at its New Boston Moly-Tungsten-Copper-Silver Porphyry Project in Nevada; core scanning and continuous geochemistry are underway

VR reported 2,900 feet of sulfides at New Boston with zero grams per tonne, leaving the grade unknown.

Executive Summary

VR Resources Ltd. (VRR) reported that drill hole NB26-003 at its New Boston porphyry-skarn project in Nevada intersected 2,892 ft (881 m) of continuous polyphase quartz veining with sulfides from top to bottom of core. The hole was terminated due to ground instability while still in mineralized rock.

No assays or multi-element geochemistry are yet available; the hole is described entirely from visual logging, including vein density and sulfide minerals such as pyrite, chalcopyrite, and molybdenite. The hole targeted a coincident conductivity-chargeability geophysical anomaly at the Jeep Mine area and is interpreted to have confirmed that anomaly as a large sulfide-bearing system.

Upcoming work includes hyperspectral scanning, 8K core photography, and sodium peroxide fusion geochemistry to map alteration and detect base metals and tungsten in refractory minerals, all of which are pending.

Material Impact

VR Resources Ltd. (VRR), a junior explorer with a market capitalization near $3.5 million and no revenue, relies entirely on the equity market to fund its exploration activities. The stock has collapsed from $0.41 in February 2026 to $0.09 just prior to this release, reflecting the market’s severe punishment for the repeated failure to release actual grades from New Boston. This decline suggests the market has likely already discounted the possibility that the vein system is barren or uneconomic.

The latest release confirms that the geophysical target is real, indicating that a sulfide system exists. This confirmation is marginally positive as it validates the exploration model, but without grade data, it adds no value to the deposit thesis. The announcement does not change the resource, de-risk the lack of grades, or provide data on which an investor could estimate contained metal.

The news is not materially new relative to expectations, as the company had long telegraphed this drilling and a prior hole similarly produced no grades. While the hole hit and found sulfide, the heavy promotional framing and absence of grade data keep the announcement from being considered material.

Company Overview

VR Resources Ltd. is a Canadian junior explorer focused on polymetallic porphyry and skarn projects in Nevada and a copper-nickel-PGM project in Ontario, which has been farmed out to Athos Metals. The company’s flagship asset is the New Boston project, a W-Mo-Cu-Ag porphyry with a 3–4 km surface strike length, though it currently holds no resource estimate. Other early-stage holdings include the Bonita Cu-Au porphyry and the Amsel Au-Ag epithermal project.

The company has a market capitalization of approximately $3.5M CAD and generates no revenue. Its net loss improved to $0.98M in FY2026 from a $5M loss in FY2025, driven by lower impairments and a $575K gain on asset sale. Cash at March 31, 2026 was $2.53M, augmented by $1.17M in April financing. With an annual G&A run rate of approximately $1.5M, the company has sufficient funding for near-term exploration but will likely require further equity raises.
