Total Metals Completes Sampling and Mapping Program at its High-Grade Menary Gold Property, Northwestern Ontario
Total Metals Corp. has completed its initial summer field work, including mapping and sampling, at its Menary Gold Property in Northwestern Ontario. The six-day campaign, conducted by Bayside Geoscience Inc., focused on mapping to confirm vein zone orientations and evaluating linking trends derived from geophysics and satellite imagery.
The field campaign collected a total of 83 vein and altered wall-rock samples. Of these, 55% were noted as mineralized or gossanous, and two quartz vein samples contained visible gold. Samples have been submitted for gold and multi-element analysis, with results pending.
The company highlighted historic data from the Galbraith "A" Zone, where grab samples returned exceptional high-grade results, including 8,120 g/t Au, 1,885 g/t Au, and 1,400 g/t Au. Additionally, continuous channel sampling across the shear structure returned 243.00 g/t Au over 1.0 metre and 45.38 g/t Au over 1.0 metre.
Historic drilling data from the Wagg Zone also provided significant context. Diamond drill hole MIN-11-18 intersected 16.99 g/t Au over 6.3 metres (core length), identifying a new, previously unknown mineralized zone at depth.
The Menary Property consists of 27 mining claims and 1 mining lease, totaling 276.5 hectares in the Kenora Mining Division, Ontario. It is located 18 km northeast of Coeur Mining’s Rainy River gold mine and shares a common southern boundary with claims owned by Coeur Mining, Inc. This proximity validates the district following Coeur's approximately US$7 billion acquisition of New Gold Inc., which was completed on March 20, 2026.
Total Metals Corp. is preparing to apply for an exploration drill permit, with drilling expected to commence from early summer through winter break-up. The company cited good road access and dry ground conditions as favorable factors for this timeline. Next steps include the integration of new sampling and mapping data with historical geological and exploration data.
In addition to the Menary Property, planning and logistical preparation are underway for the High Lake and West Hawk Lake properties, with work expected to begin in the coming weeks.
