Maxus Mining expands Lotto project by 2,633 ha

Mr. Scott Walters reports MAXUS MINING SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDS LAND HOLDINGS AT THE LOTTO TUNGSTEN PROJECT IN BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA Maxus Mining Inc. has expanded its landholdings through strategic staking of an additional 2,633 hectares at the Lotto tungsten project in British Columbia, Canada. The company is currently undertaking a compilation of all available historical data on the project to prepare its phase 1 exploration plan. Scott Walters, chief executive officer of Maxus Mining, commented: "We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of additional claims through low-cost staking at the project, effectively increasing the project size by 600 per cent. The property now spans over 14 kilometres of stratigraphy favourable for tungsten mineralization. Our team is currently compiling all available historical data over the project area and we look forward to kickstarting exploration on this significantly expanded property." Lotto tungsten project The 3,054-hectare project lies within the Kootenay region and Trail Creek mining division of British Columbia, a prolific mineral district known for its resource potential and well-developed infrastructure that support sustained exploration activity. The project is located 19 kilometres (km) west-southwest of Castlegar on the Crowsnest Highway. The project contains the historic Lotto 3 showing, which consists of scheelite (tungsten mineral -- Ca(WO4)) mineralization within a nine-metre-wide quartz vein exposed along a highway road cut. Disseminated scheelite occurs in quartz veins just northwest of the main showing and in several localities west of the highway. A selected grab sample taken in 1980 from a quartz vein with scheelite assayed 10.97 per cent WO3. Furthermore, in 2006, Astral Mining Corp. conducted a helicopter-borne geophysical electromagnetic survey on the area, which showed the area is underlain by Paleozoic argillaceous quartzites and argillites that may be part of the Lower Jurassic Rossland Group. These metamorphosed sediments have been intruded by the Middle to Late Jurassic Nelson intrusions, comprising mainly granite and granodiorite, and then later by Middle Eocene Coryell intrusion syenite and associated dikes. Scheelite is commonly found as a component of contact-metamorphic tactite, in high-temperature hydrothermal veins and greisen, and in granitic pegmatites and medium-temperature hydrothermal veins. The company believes the stratigraphy and geological setting present on the project provides a prospective environment for potentially economic tungsten mineralization. Qualified person statement The scientific and technical information contained in this news release has been reviewed, verified and approved by Morgan Verge, PGeo, technical adviser of the company and a qualified person, as defined in National Instrument 43-101, Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects. Ms. Verge has examined information regarding the historical exploration at the project, which includes a review of the historical sampling, analytical and procedures underlying the information and opinions contained herein. Management cautions that historical results collected and reported by operators unrelated to Maxus have not been verified nor confirmed by its qualified person; however, the historical results create a scientific basis for continuing work at the project. Management further cautions that historical results, discoveries and published resource estimates on adjacent or nearby mineral properties, whether in stated current resource estimates or historical resource estimates, are not necessarily indicative of the results that may be achieved on the project. About Maxus Mining Inc. Maxus Mining is a mineral exploration company focused on locating, acquiring and, if warranted, developing economic mineral properties in premier jurisdictions. The company is working toward progressing its diverse portfolio of exploration properties, which includes approximately 14,355 hectares of prospective terrane comprising 8,178 hectares among three antimony projects, 3,123 hectares encompassing the Penny copper project and the remaining 3,054 hectares comprising the Lotto tungsten project. The Penny copper project covers approximately 3,123 hectares and has seen exploration activity throughout the last 100-plus years with recent work, including rock sampling and minor geological mapping. The Penny copper project is located near the major past-producing Sullivan mine at Kimberley, B.C., an area that has stimulated both junior and major exploration company activities in the past year. Additionally, the Penny copper project saw a 2017 work program return 17 grab samples, which returned copper values up to 1,046 parts per million (ppm) copper (Cu) (TK17-149c), 1,808 ppm Cu (TK17-28) and 2,388 ppm Cu (TK17-12). At the Quarry antimony project, in well-established British Columbia, Canada, one historical sample taken assayed 0.89 gram per tonne (g/t) gold (Au), 3.8 per cent Cu, 0.34 per cent zinc (Zn), 42.5 per cent lead (Pb), 0.65 g/t silver (Ag) and 20 per cent antimony (Sb). A selected grab sample taken in 1980 at the Lotto tungsten project from a quartz vein with scheelite assayed 10.97 per cnet WO3. Additionally, the Altura and Hurley antimony projects are strategically positioned; Altura is on strike from Equinox Resources' recent antimony discovery, which saw high-grade naturally occurring antimony with assays up to 69.98 per cent Sb; Hurley neighbours Endurance Gold Corp.'s Reliance gold project, which saw antimony results from 2024 work programs include 19.2 per cent Sb and 2.16 g/t Au over 0.5 m, encountered during the 2024 drilling program.
