Cupani identifies two mineralized zones at Blue Lake

CUPA · Price

Executive Summary

  • Cupani Metals Corp. reports the discovery of two new mineralized zones, North Retty and Retty Lake Northwest, at its Blue Lake Project based on 2025 mapping and prospecting results.
  • The company has defined a new high-potential geological corridor measuring approximately 1.5 km wide by 15 km long, extending southeast from known historical mineralization, with most of the area remaining untested by drilling.
  • A 3,000- to 4,000-metre drill program is scheduled to commence in the first week of March 2026 to test these new targets and the identified corridor.

Key Details

  • New Zone: Retty Lake Northwest:
    • Located at the northwestern end of Retty Lake, following up on new electromagnetic conductors from the 2025 airborne survey.
    • Ten angular ultramafic blocks scattered over two kilometres were sampled, containing up to 10% sulphides (pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite).
    • Assay values ranged between 0.42% and 0.80% copper equivalent (CuEq).
    • Observations included net textured sulphides and small sulphide blebs.
  • New Zone: North Retty:
    • Located north of the Retty Lake camp at the northern edge of an interpreted ultramafic sequence.
    • Two ultramafic felsenmeer blocks exhibited net textured sulphides; one had chalcopyrite-rich blebs.
    • Assay results: 0.55% CuEq and 0.52% CuEq.
    • A third rusty block located 2 km to the southeast graded 0.45% CuEq.
  • Blue Lake North:
    • Historical showings never previously drilled; revisited in 2025.
    • Additional anomalous ultramafic felsenmeer blocks sampled returning 0.35% to 0.68% CuEq.
    • Samples taken over a large gravity anomaly coincident with mottled magnetic anomalies.
    • Highlights include two subangular peridotite blocks grading 0.55% and 0.68% CuEq.
  • Pogo Northwest:
    • Angular felsenmeer blocks of mineralized ultramafics identified coincident with an electromagnetic conductor and magnetic anomaly.
    • Large blocks returned 0.56%, 0.47%, and 0.40% CuEq.
    • A mineralized peridotite outcrop north of the felsenmeers graded 0.44% CuEq.
  • Retty Lake West:
    • Ground follow-up near historical drill hole A-27.
    • Metric-scale angular felsenmeer blocks containing up to 10% visible sulphides.
    • Assay results ranged from 0.45% to 0.52% CuEq.
    • Historical drill hole A-27 (350m northwest) intersected:
      • 0.6% Cu, 0.56% Ni, and 0.3% Zn over 0.7m.
      • 0.25% Cu and 0.24% Ni over 1.04m.
  • Geological Interpretation:
    • Identification of a shallow high-potential corridor defined by ultramafic subvolcanic conduits with columnar jointing.
    • Corridor measures approx. 1.5 km wide by 15 km long, extending southeast.
    • Northwestern section hosts nine zones discovered in the 1950s and drilled in the 1980s.
    • Historical estimate: 4.37 million tonnes grading 2.28% CuEq (Not NI 43-101 compliant; not treated as current resources).
  • Future Plans:
    • Drill program of 3,000 to 4,000 metres scheduled to start the first week of March 2026.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control:
    • Samples analyzed by ALS Canada Laboratory using PGM-ICP23 and ME-ICP61 methods.
    • 479 total samples analyzed; 22 QA/QC samples (blanks and standards) inserted.
    • No material errors observed in QA/QC validation.

Notable Quotes

  • "I could not be happier with what Jacquelin's team accomplished in 2025. Any of these new zones could prove fruitful: They have similar geophysics and surface sample metal values to the known historical mineralization. Blue Lake North will be a drill target this winter. The entire project's opportunity set continues to improve." — Brian Bosse, CEO
