Urban Infra receives Ont. concrete, drainage contract
Mr. Gary Alves reports
URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP INC. WINS MANDATE FOR 100 ADDITIONAL NEW HOME BUILDS IN KITCHENER, ONTARIO
Urban Infrastructure Group Inc. has been awarded a contract for concrete and drainage work for a large-scale residential development by one of its largest developer customers in Kitchner, Ont.
Against the backdrop of a very difficult industry and economic conditions in Ontario, Urban Infrastructure prevailed in what was a very competitive bid process. The contract is for 100 units with a start date set for next month to be completed in approximately six months.
This latest win comes on the heels of the approximately 200-new-home project win announced in late August. That project is in Milton, Ont., and work is under way this week.
These projects underscore Urban Infrastructure's expertise in delivering critical infrastructure for large-scale residential communities and its commitment to supporting the growth of dynamic regions like Milton and Kitchener.
"We are pleased to partner on the Kitchner development," said Gary Alves, chief executive officer. "The awarding of this contract further recognizes UIG's commitment to quality and efficient delivery of concrete and drainage solutions essential for sustainable communities. There is a long way to go in order to begin to address the supply-demand imbalance in the residential new build industry, and UIG is committed to being part of the long-term solution."
