Barksdale Commences Fall 2026 Diamond Drill Program at Sunnyside

Barksdale’s May copper hits are re-served as the fall program begins, with rigs turning but no new assays released.

Executive Summary

Barksdale Resources Corp. (BRO) announced the commencement of its fall 2026 diamond drill program on November 2, 2026, at its 67.5%-owned Sunnyside project in the Patagonia district of Arizona. The initiative is funded by a C$15.7 million placement closed on October 29, 2026. Phase 1 of the program targets approximately 8,000 meters (26,250 feet) of the planned 16,000-meter total, utilizing pads already approved under the existing USFS Plan of Operations. The drilling aims to test below the 450-meter depth limit of the 2026 RC rig and gather lithological, structural, and metallurgical data.

Concurrently, an airborne ZTEM survey over the Sunnyside and Four Metals properties has been flown, with final data and reporting expected in early December 2026.

The copper intercepts presented as highlights in the November 3, 2026 release are not new. They replicate the same three 2026 RC holes published on May 4, 2026, and again in a September 21, 2026 summary:

  • SUN26-001R: 39.62 m of 0.95% Cu from 248.41 m, including 12.19 m of 1.45% Cu; also 13.72 m of 1.05% Cu from 274 m and 3.05 m of 2.75% Cu at 314 m.
  • SUN26-002R: 60.96 m of 0.93% Cu, and 60.96 m of 0.90% Cu including 13.72 m of 1.47% Cu at 302 m, within 393.19 m of 0.45% Cu from 3.05 m.
  • SUN26-003R: 53.34 m of 0.64% Cu from 7.62 m, including 12.19 m of 1.04% Cu.

The only new geological assertion is a restatement of historical data from ASARCO hole TM-8, which was drilled to 1,730 m with copper noted to 1,689 m, including 3.05 m of 1.36% Cu at 491 m. This data is explicitly flagged as not verified by the Qualified Person because original sampling, assay, and QA/QC records are unavailable.

Material Impact

Barksdale Resources Corp. (BRO) is a pre-resource explorer with no NI 43-101 mineral resource, reserve, metallurgy, mining study, or revenue at its Sunnyside property. The company’s equity value represents an option on a porphyry system that has been the subject of repeated market attention since May.

The primary expectation anchor is the discovery release issued on May 4, 2026, which reported 0.90%/0.93% copper over 60.96 meters and 0.45% copper over 392 meters. The stock moved from C$0.21 on May 1 to C$0.53 by May 20, a 150% increase. Subsequent updates on July 20 and September 21 delivered longer but leaner holes, reporting 0.32% copper over 109.7 meters and 0.19% copper over 102.1 meters. During this period, the stock fell to C$0.13–C$0.14 by mid-August. A financing and management change on September 22 re-rated the stock to C$0.28–C$0.29, after which it drifted to C$0.23, essentially returning to the level it traded at the day before the discovery hole.

The market has already discounted step-outs and is now focused on financing and execution. The current price does not assume that future drilling will repeat the May result. This release contains no new assays. It confirms that a fully funded program, announced on September 22 and paid for on October 8 and 29, has started on schedule. This is incremental and expected, and cannot move the equity on its own.

At approximately C$80 million basic and C$113 million fully diluted, the equity already capitalizes a meaningful porphyry outcome for a property with zero declared tonnes. This is not a cheap option on a first-pass discovery; it is a priced option on the next round of drilling. There is no change to the thesis, the resource story, or the evidence on grade, width, continuity, metallurgy, or tonnage. The release is a logistics confirmation.

Company Overview

Barksdale Resources Corp. is a Vancouver-based, pre-revenue explorer with no operating income and an accumulated deficit of roughly C$38.2 million.

The company’s portfolio includes the Sunnyside project in Arizona, where it holds a 67.5% interest across 286 unpatented claims totaling 5,223.1 acres. This property wraps South32's Hermosa project on three sides. An earn-in agreement with Great Basin Metals was completed on August 28, 2026, involving US$550,000 in cash and 4.9 million shares to increase Barksdale’s stake from 51% to 67.5%. Future costs are shared 67.5% by Barksdale and 32.5% by Great Basin. The site is permitted under a USFS Plan of Operations with a FONSI. No mineral resource has been declared, and historical ASARCO drilling is non-43-101 and unverified.

In Sonora, Mexico, Barksdale holds a 100% interest in the San Javier IOCG system, comprising 12 concessions covering approximately 1,184 hectares. An NI 43-101 PEA effective January 2, 2024, outlined 70.1 Mt at 0.271% TCu measured and indicated, containing 419.2 Mlb (289.4 Mlb recoverable). The project envisions a 12-year open-pit heap-leach SX-EW operation at 10,000 t/day, with an initial capital cost of US$116.8 million, a post-tax NPV7% of US$61.6 million, and an IRR of 18.1% at US$4.00/lb copper. A PEA update adding gold for the first time is underway, with completion targeted for Q4 2027.

Other Arizona holdings, held at 100%, include San Antonio, Canelo, Goat Canyon, Four Metals, and Guajolote. Teck retains a 1.5% NSR/FROR on San Antonio. These projects are in early stages, and impairment charges were taken against Four Metals, San Antonio, and Canelo/Goat Canyon in FY2026.

The company’s capital structure consists of approximately 349 million pro forma shares following the placement and debt settlement, prior to consolidation. There are approximately 11.8 million options and approximately 95 million warrants outstanding before the new placement half-warrants. A 10-for-1 consolidation and name change to Arizona Standard Copper Inc. will go to shareholders in mid-November 2026. Dominant holders include Crescat (~13%), Medalist (~14%), and Delbrook (>10%, post debt settlement). Debt has been eliminated via the Delbrook conversion.
