Legacy Gold Announces Non-Brokered Private Placement and Provides Update on 2026 Drill Program at Baner, Idaho
Calgary, Alberta--(Newsfile Corp. - October 28, 2026) - Legacy Gold Mines Ltd. (TSXV: LEGY) (the "Company" or "Legacy Gold") announces that it intends to complete a non-brokered private placement (the "Private Placement") of up to 4,285,715 common shares of the Company ("Common Shares") at a price of C$0.70 per share for gross proceeds of up to C$3.0 million.
"Expectations about Baner's near-surface gold potential have been exceeded by the 2026 drilling results, and we intend to push forward with continued drilling in the months ahead," said Brian Hinchcliffe, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Gold. "The roughly 50 holes and 32,000 feet drilled over the past several months have outlined gold mineralization open in all directions. The plan is to winterize the drill and bring it back as we work toward establishing Baner's initial mineral resource."
The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Private Placement to fund continued drilling at its Baner Gold Mine property (the "Property"), located in the Orogrande Mining District of Idaho. That drilling is aimed at expanding and defining the Main Zone and other target areas, and at generating the drilling data needed to support an initial mineral resource estimate for the Property. Proceeds will also go toward continued business development and general and administrative purposes.
The Private Placement is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange"). The securities issued in connection with the Private Placement will be subject to a four-month hold period, in accordance with applicable securities laws.
The Company may pay a commission or finder's fee to eligible parties in connection with the Private Placement, subject to the approval of the Exchange and compliance with applicable securities laws.
2026 Drill Program Update. The Company has temporarily suspended drilling at the Property. The drill rig has been demobilized from site for winterization, and the Company currently plans to return it to the Property to resume drilling. Assay results for a number of holes remain pending and will be released once received and reviewed.
