Algo Grande Copper Makes New Skarn Discovery at Adelita; Step-Out Hole AG-CG-PH2-003 Returns a Combined 139.81 Metres of 1.3% CuEq from Cerro Grande and the New Margarita Skarn
Algo Grande hit its best skarn hole to date at 88 metres at 1.6% copper equivalent.

Algo Grande Copper Corp. (ALGR) has reported drill results from its Cerro Grande project, highlighting new mineralized zones and extending known deposits. Hole AG-CG-PH2-003 ("PH2-3") serves as a step-out from Phase I hole AG-GC-002 ("PH1-2"), intersecting mineralization approximately 105 meters vertically above the earlier hole.
In the Cerro Grande 2 zone, the company reported an intercept of 87.98 meters grading 1.6% CuEq (1.03% Cu, 47.1 g/t Ag, 0.35 g/t Au) from 196.35 meters downhole. This interval includes higher-grade segments of 7.40 meters at 5.2% CuEq and 1.95 meters at 9.8% CuEq.
Cerro Grande 3 encountered four mineralized skarns spread over a 109.71-meter downhole span, ranging from 473.09 to 582.80 meters. Sub-intervals within this zone include 4.15 meters at 1.6% CuEq from 473.09 meters and 1.00 meter at 3.6% CuEq from 506.00 meters. These results extend the Cerro Grande deposit to approximately 485 meters vertical depth.
A new discovery, the Margarita Skarn, yielded an intercept of 14.37 meters grading 1.1% CuEq (0.50% Cu, 0.81 g/t Au, 8.7 g/t Ag) from 624.47 meters downhole. This interval includes 1.01 meters at 6.0% CuEq (2.10% Cu, 4.98 g/t Au). The Margarita Skarn is located at approximately 530 meters vertical depth and about 250 meters (straight-line) from PH1-2.
The release highlights a combined 139.81 meters at 1.3% CuEq; however, this figure is the length-weighted sum of three separate composites: 87.98 meters from Cerro Grande 2, 29.17 meters from Cerro Grande 3, and 22.66 meters from Margarita, rather than a continuous intercept. Additionally, Figure 1 highlights a single 0.55-meter half-core sample at 16.6% Cu, 1.1 g/t Au, and 583 g/t Ag, representing a spot sample rather than an intercept average.
The Phase II program has drilled more than 4,000 meters of the planned approximately 7,200 meters. Assays are pending for holes 004–009 at Cerro Grande and Las Trancas holes 1–2.
Algo Grande Copper Corp. (ALGR) is a pre-resource explorer with no mineral resource estimate and a market capitalization of approximately C$31 million. The company has a going-concern flag and holds roughly $10 million in pro-forma cash following its September raise, with a quarterly burn rate near $3 million. In this stage of development, step-out results that increase grade and width are considered high-leverage to the equity.
The prior best intercept on the same zone was Phase II hole PH2-2, published on September 11, 2026, which reported 30.23 meters at 1.5% CuEq, equating to approximately 45 %-m. This result was itself a step-out above Phase I. The new Cerro Grande 2 interval reported 87.98 meters at 1.6% CuEq, or approximately 141 %-m. This new interval is materially better on both grade and width, representing roughly three times the %-m of the anchor at a slightly higher grade.
The stock spiked from approximately $0.62 on September 8 to $0.81 on September 21 following the first Phase II assays, then round-tripped to $0.62 by October 27. This price was lower than the $0.71 level where the September 11 anchor was published. The market is currently pricing essentially nothing for continued Cerro Grande growth, with the price sitting in the mid-range versus the $0.40 low and $0.95 high.
With the anchor unpriced and the new result materially stronger in grade and width substance, plus a new depth extent and a new skarn discovery, the development represents a positive delta rather than a priced-in repeat.
Algo Grande Copper Corp. (TSXV: ALGR; OTC: ALGRF) is an early-stage explorer formed in late 2025 through the re-naming of Kenadyr and the 100%-acquisition of the 5,895-hectare Adelita Cu-Ag-Au project in Sonora, Mexico, located within the Arizona-Sonora copper belt. The company’s asset base includes the Cerro Grande skarn discovery, characterized by a multi-horizon, approximately 2.5–7 km corridor, as well as a suite of porphyry depth targets including Mezquital, Cerro Grande Central, and La Corona. Additional prospects include the Cerro Potrero South skarn and Las Trancas epithermal targets, none of which have yet been drilled to a mineral resource.
According to Q1-2026 filings, the company reported no revenue and an operating loss of approximately $2.4 million for the quarter, bringing its cumulative deficit to roughly $27.9 million. Cash holdings stood at approximately $5.5 million as of March 31, 2026, supplemented by a $4.79 million placement closed on September 1, 2026. The company has approximately 50 million shares outstanding post-financing and has explicitly flagged a going concern. No resource, reserve, or economic study currently exists.
