Cleghorn Proceeds with Field Work at Rocco Copper Prospect, Gaspe, Quebec

CZZ · Price

Cleghorn Minerals Ltd. (CZZ) has initiated exploration programs at its Rocco Copper Prospect in Gaspé, Québec, marking the beginning of a new phase of work at the site. The company’s activities include airborne magnetic and electromagnetic (AEM) surveys, followed by ground follow-up conducted by a prospecting team. Preliminary data from these efforts have identified two intense circular magnetic anomalies associated with intrusive bodies, which the company has deemed high-priority targets for skarn-related mineralization.

In late August 2026, the company completed 1,405 line-kilometres of high-resolution helicopter-borne magnetic and VLF-EM surveys. The preliminary interpretation of this survey data outlined two intense circular magnetic anomalies associated with intrusive bodies injected in calcareous mudstone. Secondary targets identified include faint linear anomalies perpendicular to the regional tectonic fabric.

To support the airborne data, a seven-person team conducted mapping for two weeks, covering approximately 80% of the property area. During this period, the team collected 139 grab or chip samples from outcrops and 82 stream sediment samples. These samples are currently being analyzed for metal content and skarn indicator minerals, with all analytical results pending.

The Rocco Copper Prospect is located on the Gaspé peninsula in eastern Québec and consists of 99 claims totaling 5,467 hectares, acquired via staking. The geology of the area features sedimentary rocks from the Ordovician Burnt Jam Brook and White Head formations, which are separated from the Devonian Fortin Group by the Grande-Rivière Fault. The area is also intruded by Siluro-Devonian porphyry dykes of the Lemieux intrusive suite. Cleghorn Minerals notes that the property is geologically similar to the Gaspé Copper Mountain Mine.

In addition to the exploration update, the company announced the grant of 1,150,000 stock options to directors, officers, employees, and consultants. The options carry an exercise price of $0.105 per share and have a term of five years. The recipients include directors, officers, employees, and consultants, excluding staff from IOS Geosciences.

The exploration work was overseen by Mr. Réjean Girard, P.Geo., geologist and president of IOS Geosciences, who serves as the Qualified Person for the project.

Regarding the findings, the company stated: "Preliminary interpretation of the survey data has outlined two intense circular magnetic anomalies, confirmed as being associated with intrusive bodies injected in calcareous mudstone and therefore high-priority exploration targets for skarn-related mineralization."
