Brixton Metals Reports 97.0% Gold Recovery in Initial Metallurgical Work from the Trapper Gold Target
Brixton’s Trapper infill confirms wide bulk gold with 97% recovery ahead of a mineral resource estimate due in the first quarter of 2027.

Brixton Metals Corporation reported the final two 2026 drill holes from the Trapper Gold Target, THN26-393 and THN26-394, which were drilled as infill holes to support the maiden Trapper Mineral Resource Estimate. The company also released initial scoping-level metallurgical results. Both holes are described as near-surface, wide, low-to-moderate grade with internal higher-grade zones.
- THN26-393: 120.00 m @ 0.67 g/t Au, 3.91 g/t Ag from 19.50 m; incl. 15.00 m @ 1.43 g/t Au (43.50 m) and 0.50 m @ 18.05 g/t Au (56.00 m); incl. 7.50 m @ 5.02 g/t Au, 30.58 g/t Ag (70.00 m) and 0.50 m @ 18.55 g/t Au, 115.00 g/t Ag (76.00 m).
- THN26-394: 138.00 m @ 0.80 g/t Au, 2.34 g/t Ag from 29.00 m; incl. 28.50 m @ 1.28 g/t Au (29.00 m) and 0.50 m @ 37.10 g/t Au with visible gold (57.00 m); incl. 54.00 m @ 1.09 g/t Au (82.00 m); plus 6.20 m @ 1.21 g/t Au (147.80 m).
Metallurgical testing conducted by SGS Canada involved a single high-grade composite grading 10.3 g/t Au and 27.6 g/t Ag. Gravity recovery captured 12.3% of the gold into a concentrate representing 0.08% mass at 1,486 g/t Au. Rougher flotation of the gravity tails recovered 96.6% of the remaining gold, resulting in a combined gravity and rougher recovery of 97.0%. Screened metallic assay results showed 13.9 g/t Au compared to 10.3 g/t from fire assay, indicating the presence of coarse gold.
These two holes complete the 2026 drilling and assay reporting for Trapper. The maiden Trapper Mineral Resource Estimate, prepared with APEX Geoscience, is expected in Q1 2027, alongside Camp Creek HS and porphyry MREs. Brixton also disclosed a correction to the collar table in its September 29, 2026 Glenfiddich news release, which was deemed non-material.
Brixton Metals Corporation (BBB), a pre-resource explorer with a market capitalization of approximately C$53 million, released its first-pass metallurgical results for the Trapper project. The data indicates that the gold is coarse-grained and largely free-milling, making it amenable to gravity and flotation recovery methods. This information serves as the first public indication of the ore’s characteristics and helps de-risk the recovery component of the pending mineral resource estimate (MRE).
The recent drill program consisted of infill and resource-definition holes rather than discovery or major step-out drilling. These holes confirmed the bulk geometry and continuity of the deposit but did not expand the system or significantly alter its grade. The assay results were lean, with infill grades at or above expected resource levels, serving as a confirmation of the existing model rather than a surprise.
The market’s current valuation appears anchored to the Langis project’s ultra-high-grade silver hits, which drove the stock to re-rate to C$1.27 in February. Since then, BBB has drifted to C$0.61, near the low end of its 52-week range. The current price reflects the Langis silver story and the pipeline for the Q1-2027 MRE, rather than expectations for a major Trapper discovery. Consequently, this release is viewed as a solid, incremental positive that keeps the MRE on track, without materially changing the scale, grade, or odds of the system. It is unlikely to move the equity by 15% on its own.
Brixton Metals Corporation (BBB) is a Vancouver-based junior explorer and developer with a multi-project portfolio. Its Thorn property in northwest British Columbia is a 100%-owned, ~2,945 km² Cu-Au-Ag-Mo district on the Golden Triangle trend. The site features the shallow Camp Creek high-sulphidation gold zone overlying a deeper Camp Creek porphyry, alongside emerging Catalyst and Tempest Cu-Au porphyries and the Trapper gold target.
The Langis property in Ontario is a 100%-owned past-producing high-grade silver-cobalt-nickel mine with historic production of 10.4 moz Ag at ~777 g/t. It includes ~10 km of underground workings and a silver tailings resource program with surface rights and infrastructure.
In northwest Montana, USA, the Hog Heaven Cu-Ag-Au property is optioned to Ivanhoe Electric, which can earn up to 75% via US$4.5M cash and US$40M in work over 11 years. Brixton also holds 100% of the Atlin Goldfields orogenic gold project in northwest BC. Eldorado Gold terminated its earn-in on October 1, 2026, and Brixton is seeking a farmout or sale.
In Sweden, Brixton has an option to acquire 100% of Silvergruvan, a historically mined Ag-Zn-Pb-Sb-In property near the Bergslagen district. The announcement was made in September 2026, with TSX-V acceptance pending. The company also holds a 100%-owned silver project in the Hudson Bay region of Ontario.
The company has ~87.2M shares outstanding following a 10:1 consolidation in February 2026, plus ~28.4M warrants (~C$0.90 recent tranche; ~C$1.00 adjusted legacy $0.10 warrants) and ~6.7M options. Cash stands at ~C$14.9M per the June 30, 2026 presentation, against a going-concern flag. Notable holders include BHP Investments Canada, Goehring & Rozencwajg, Ivanhoe Electric management, Gold 2000 (Konwave), and Azvalor.
