Americas reported a record 800,000 ounces of gold production for the quarter, masking flat year-over-year output and creating a steep hurdle for the fourth quarter.

Americas Gold and Silver Corporation (USA) released its third-quarter 2026 production and sales update on October 19, 2026. The operational report highlighted record consolidated silver output of 800,458 ounces and record sales of 860,850 ounces. Galena operations contributed 384,579 ounces produced and 437,709 ounces sold, while Cosalá produced 415,879 ounces and sold 423,141 ounces, marking a 23% quarter-over-quarter increase in output.
The company also reported by-product production including 964,551 pounds of lead, 918,456 pounds of copper, and 101,011 pounds of antimony. Sales for these by-products totaled 1,417,512 pounds of lead, 928,967 pounds of copper, and 121,691 pounds of antimony. Silver-equivalent production reached 936,870 ounces, with sales of 1,010,649 ounces. Realized prices disclosed in the silver-equivalent footnote were US$60.54 per ounce for silver, US$6.41 per pound for copper, US$0.83 per pound for lead, and US$8.79 per pound for antimony.
Financially, the company reported unaudited cash of US$63 million as of September 30, 2026. Total available liquidity stood at US$113 million, which included US$50 million undrawn under the SAF credit facility. Americas Gold and Silver reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, unchanged from previous estimates, projecting silver production between 3.2 and 3.6 million ounces at an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of US$30–35 per ounce. The company noted that production is weighted to the second half of the year, which is associated with lower costs.
Operational updates included the advancement of paste fill plant construction and the No. 3 hoist upgrade at Galena. New grizzlies installed above ore shoot loading pockets reduced tram loading time from five minutes to 20 seconds. The company also reported that fiber optic communications are being installed throughout the mine and that waste development has begun to facilitate future long-hole stoping in higher-grade silver-copper-antimony veins.
Regarding exploration, the company restated a drill highlight from its September 17, 2026 release: an intercept of 20.5 meters grading 654.7 grams per tonne silver and 1.5% copper, located just outside the 2025 Inferred Mineral Resource boundary. In corporate news, Americas Gold and Silver was named to the 2026 TSX30, citing a 477% three-year dividend-adjusted share price increase.
Americas Gold and Silver Corporation (USA) issued a routine operational update that reaffirmed its production and sales guidance without raising targets or disclosing specific costs. The release reiterated data previously shared in a September 17, 2026, announcement.
The company reported production of 800,458 ounces, a marginal increase of 1.7% over the prior record of 786,925 ounces set in the first quarter of 2026. This figure aligns with prior guidance expectations.
Market reaction to the print was negative, consistent with broader sector trends rather than company-specific developments. This price movement correlates with a drop in realized silver prices, which fell from US$67.04 per ounce in the second quarter to US$60.54 per ounce in the third quarter, a decrease of 9.7%. Realized prices had previously stood at US$79.48 per ounce in the first quarter, marking a 23.8% decline from the first to the third quarter.
Americas Gold and Silver Corporation (TSX: USA; NYSE American: USAS) is a producing precious and critical-metals miner headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, with operations in Idaho, USA, and Sinaloa, Mexico. The company’s flagship asset is the 100%-owned Galena Complex in Idaho, which includes the Galena mine, the Coeur mine, and the Crescent mine, the latter having been added in December 2025. Management describes the complex as one of the highest-grade primary silver districts in the United States and the host to the nation's largest antimony mine. The Galena complex holds Measured and Indicated resources of 87.9 moz at 500.9 g/t Ag, with an additional 105.7 moz in Inferred resources. The operation is transitioning from conventional underhand cut-and-fill to mechanised long-hole stoping. Hoisting capacity at No. 3 shaft has been raised from 42 stph to 85 stph sustained, or 105 stph peak. A mill upgrade is currently in progress, expanding capacity from 750 stpd to 1,200 stpd, while a paste fill plant is under construction. Power costs at Crescent have been reduced from approximately US$0.55/kWh using diesel to approximately US$0.07/kWh via grid connection.
In Sinaloa, Mexico, the Cosalá Operations include the San Rafael mine, the EC120 mine, and the Los Braceros processing plant. Commercial production at EC120 was declared on January 1, 2026. The operation achieves recoveries of approximately 95% in sulphide zones and approximately 85% in oxide zones. Cosalá produced 415,879 oz in the third quarter of 2026, making it the larger of the two operating complexes by silver output.
The Crescent Silver Mine in Idaho is a 100%-owned, fully permitted past-producing underground mine located approximately 9 miles from Galena. Americas Gold and Silver acquired the asset on December 12, 2025, for US$20 million in cash plus approximately 11.1 million shares. A 2015 historical estimate, which is not current, indicated 3.8 moz Measured and Indicated and 19.1 moz Inferred at roughly 654–665 g/t Ag. The mine produced over 25 moz at an average grade of 26 oz/t (891 g/t) between 1917 and 1981. The ore is tetrahedrite-hosted and metallurgically compatible with Galena and Coeur mills. A mid-2026 restart was the stated target, but no production has been reported.
Other assets include Relief Canyon in Nevada and San Felipe in Sonora, Mexico, both in development or care and maintenance, and Nuestra Señora in Mexico, which is dormant. In the third quarter of 2026, the commodity mix by revenue was approximately 86% silver, 10% copper, 2% lead, and 2% antimony, based on the company's realized prices and sold volumes. Despite the critical-minerals positioning, the silver price remains the dominant earnings driver.
