ATHA Energy Successfully Completes Diamond Drilling at RIB North Discovery, Expanding Strike Length To 3.4 Km, And Identifies a Higher-Grade Sub Zone: Results Include RIBN-DD-023 Intersecting 19.5 M Of Composite Uranium Mineralization With 2.0 M Of High-G

Atha’s seven-of-seven radiometric hits extend the strike to 3.4 km, doubling the known length without assay confirmation.

Executive Summary

Atha Energy Corp. (SASK) released preliminary downhole-gamma-probe (radiometric, CPS) results from the final seven diamond drillholes (RIBN-DD-017 to RIBN-DD-023) of the 2026 Angilak program on the Mineralized RIB Corridor (MRC) at the RIB North Discovery in Nunavut. The company states that drilling has connected RIB North and RIB East, expanding the mineralized strike length from 1.45 km to 3.4 km along the Eastern Limb of the MRC. The 2026 campaign totals 23 holes, 21 of which intersected mineralization.

Key intercepts from the final holes include:

  • RIBN-DD-023: 19.5 m of total composite mineralization over fourteen zones from 180.0 m to 777.5 m, including 2.0 m of "high-grade" (>10,000 CPS). Best interval: 2.5 m at 6,865 CPS average (max 26,327 CPS over 0.1 m), including 0.7 m high-grade.
  • RIBN-DD-019: 2.5 m of total composite over three zones from 319.5 m to 740.5 m, including 0.6 m high-grade. Best interval: 1.5 m at 17,593 CPS average (max 78,785 CPS over 0.1 m).
  • RIBN-DD-022A: 5.5 m of total composite over six zones from 490.5 m to 687.5 m. Best interval: 1.0 m at 3,385 CPS average (max 9,846 CPS over 0.1 m).

Atha Energy claims a "higher-grade, thicker sub-zone" proximal to RIBN-DD-001, with approximately 300 m strike and ~300 m down-dip extent. Table 1 composites for this zone include: RIBN-DD-001 34.7 m (assay-based), RIBN-DD-003 37.5 m, RIBN-DD-009 17.5 m, RIBN-DD-011 20.0 m, and RIBN-DD-023 19.5 m (all non-001 values are CPS-based).

Additionally, a Western Limb secondary horizon has been traced over approximately 220 m, with a possible connection to RIB West and a possible ~3.0 km strike. All intercepts represent core width; true thickness has not been determined. The cutoff was lowered to >300 CPS from 500 CPS, with high-grade defined as >10,000 CPS. Assay samples have been submitted to SRC, with assays pending.

Material Impact

Atha Energy Corp. (SASK) remains in the pre-resource explorer stage, with no mineral resource, reserves, or revenue reported. The company’s Q1-2026 MD&A flagged going-concern status, a structural reality that makes drill results at this early stage more material to the investment thesis than infill drilling at producing mines.

The most substantive element of the latest update is the 1.45 km to 3.4 km strike connection between RIB North and RIB East, representing a genuine increase in the perceived size of the system. However, the broader RIB/ANGILAK discovery narrative, the 100% hit-rate theme, and the "district" claim have been marketed in essentially every release since the November 2025 maiden hole. The market has heard this story continuously through 2026.

Market expectations are anchored by the previous drill release on September 8, 2026, which reported a 1.45 km strike and corresponded to a share price of C$1.22. As of October 6, 2026, the stock sits at C$1.05, having round-tripped from its C$1.40 August high. The stock has drifted down since the last drill result, meaning the previous data is not embedded at a higher level. Consequently, today’s release does not face a punitive "must beat the anchor" bar; instead, it faces a market that is drifting and waiting for assays and resources.

An in-line or modestly better result in this posture can be genuinely positive. However, this release is not materially better in grade-and-width substance than the July 9 result, which reported 37.5 m as the widest to date, or the September 8 result, which reported 1.45 km. The new data adds strike, which is a positive, but is thinner per hole, unassayed, and spin-heavy.

The release does not clear the bar for a 15%+ stand-alone move.

Company Overview

Atha Energy Corp. (TSXV:SASK, FRA:X5U, OTCQX:SASKF) is a Canadian uranium explorer with no revenue and pre-resource status. The company’s flagship asset is the 100%-owned Angilak Uranium Project, located in the Angikuni and Yathkyed Basins of Nunavut within the MRC, Lac 50 Corridor, and KU-Nine Iron Corridor. Additional holdings include the CMB Discoveries in Newfoundland and Labrador, which host the Moran Lake and Anna Lake deposits, and the GMZ basement-hosted discovery in the Athabasca Basin. The company also holds a 10% carried interest in NexGen and IsoEnergy Athabasca projects.

The company’s land package comprises approximately 6.7 million acres, according to its investor deck, while a recent release states the package exceeds 6 million acres. Regarding exploration targets, the Lac 50 conceptual target estimates 60.8–98.2 million pounds of U3O8 at grades of 0.37–0.48% U3O8. This is explicitly not a mineral resource, and historical resource estimates were retracted in an amended NI 43-101 technical report dated October 21, 2025.

The capital structure consists of approximately 353.5 million basic shares, alongside options totaling 29.0 million, RSUs of 3.5 million, and warrants of 18.1 million. The company also holds a US$25 million QRC convertible debenture at C$0.85, carrying a 12% interest rate and maturing in 2031.

Financial context from reported periods indicates a Q1-2026 net loss of C$5.70 million. As of March 31, 2026, cash holdings stood at C$56.66 million following a C$63 million financing in February 2026. Total debt stands at C$33.4 million, attributed to the debenture. The MD&A includes an explicit going-concern warning. Capital expenditures have been heavy, with approximately C$20.7 million spent in FY2025 and C$6.8 million in Q1-2026, reflecting continuous burn.
