Notable Historical Mineralized Drill Intercepts at Goodrich

Great Plains recycled unverified 1980s Goodrich intercepts to maintain interest in the project without disclosing new assay results.

Executive Summary

Great Plains Metals Corp. (GPS) released a review of over 5,000 m of historical drilling across 46 holes at its Goodrich Cu-Au project in New South Wales. The data was retrieved from the NSW Resources archives and does not constitute fresh assay news.

The release highlights several historical intercepts, reported as downhole lengths:

  • KB1 (Geopeko, 1980): 50.08 m @ 0.41% Cu and 0.32 g/t Au from 26 m, including 7.2 m @ 0.77% Cu and 0.79 g/t Au, and 11.5 m @ 0.82% Cu and 0.39 g/t Au from 84.5 m.
  • DDHG10 (Kevin Barker, 1985): 37 m @ 0.55% Cu and 0.17 g/t Au from 119 m, plus 10 m @ 0.82% Cu and 0.11 g/t Au from 87.3 m (partial assays, 5.7 m missing).
  • YG08 (Lynch Mining, 1988): 33 m @ 0.65% Cu and 1.43 g/t Au from 1 m, including 15 m @ 1.09% Cu and 3.09 g/t Au from 14 m.
  • Shallow YG series: YG07 23 m @ 0.52% Cu / 0.73 g/t Au; YG19 15 m @ 0.33% Cu / 0.84 g/t Au (all from 1 m).
  • Other GRDD/GM/GRCC holes: mostly 6-48 m at 0.15-0.47% Cu.

The company also re-reported the previously announced Stage 1 hole GGDD004, which returned 128 m @ 0.34% Cu and 0.17 g/t Au, as corroboration.

A confirmatory resampling program is currently underway, with 94 one-metre half-core samples from KB1 and DDHG10 submitted to ALS in Orange, NSW. The samples are being tested via fire assay (Au, AAS finish) and four-acid ICP-AES, with results pending. A fully funded Stage 2 drill program is scheduled to begin later this month, in October 2026.

Material Impact

Great Plains Metals Corp. (GPS) is currently in a pre-resource exploration stage with no defined resource, no revenue, and a going-concern flag, with materiality measured against a ~C$9.2M equity. The company’s recent activity catalogues a wider historical mineralized footprint and reinforces a pencil-porphyry model to guide Stage 2 program targets, but it adds no new verified assays, with every substantive number remaining legacy and unverified.

The expectation anchor, GGDD004 (128 m @ 0.34% Cu), was published on 2026-07-28. At that time, the stock traded at ~$0.15-0.16 and has since drifted to $0.12, representing a decline of approximately 25%. Because the stock did not re-rate on the initial announcement, the market has not priced in any value from the discovery or this data review.

While the unembedded nature of the anchor could theoretically allow for an upside trigger, this requires a genuinely new result that is materially better in grade and width than anything previously demonstrated. This release constitutes an archival restatement rather than a new drill hole, so that trigger is not met.

Company Overview

Great Plains Metals Corp. (TSX-V: GPS; Frankfurt: 8VC), a Vancouver-based company now focused on Australia, holds its flagship Goodrich Project in New South Wales. Located approximately 70 km northwest of Orange within the Macquarie Arc and Lachlan Fold Belt, the 290 km² Goodrich Project spans exploration licenses EL9243 and EL8538. The site is characterized as a Cu-Au "pencil porphyry" and sits near the historic Goodrich mine, which produced approximately 300 tonnes of copper, 159 kg of gold, and 62 kg of silver between 1868 and 1912. Great Plains Metals currently holds a 51% interest in Stage 1 and is advancing to a 70% stake in Stage 2, contingent on spending A$1 million and completing 500 meters of drilling.

The company also holds a 37.1% equity stake in Eversley Resources, which targets iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) prospects, including Jupiter and Ganymede, on the North Gawler Craton in South Australia. Eversley also holds a Victory ionic-clay rare earth element (REE) prospect, with target depths less than 150 meters across a 2,584 km² area.

In Victoria, Great Plains Metals acquired the Everton molybdenum project in 2025 and conducted drilling in early 2026. The company subsequently disposed of the asset after results were deemed weaker than expected.

On the corporate front, Peeyush Varshney assumed the role of CEO in April 2026, succeeding Aidan Bishop, with Douglas Kirwin serving as the Qualified Person. In February 2026, the company raised approximately C$4.18 million through a private placement at $0.18 per unit, which included warrants exercisable at $0.28.
