RETRANSMISSION: Homeland and Westwin Sign Binding Offtake Agreement at Red Flat
Homeland secured a 20kt/yr offtake agreement for Oregon’s Red Flat project while advancing a bankable feasibility study ahead of the 2027 mineral resource estimate.

Homeland Nickel Inc. (SHL) has signed a binding offtake agreement with Westwin Elements Inc. for nickel concentrate from the Red Flat Nickel Project in Southern Oregon. The deal secures an estimated 20,000 tonnes of nickel concentrate per year for Westwin, establishing a domestic supply source for the buyer's future refinery.
Westwin holds exclusive offtake rights for Red Flat but may benefit from agreements on other Homeland properties. The agreement fully funds a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for Red Flat, contingent upon Homeland completing an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and Preliminary Economic Analysis (PEA), which are expected in Q1 or Q2 2027.
This announcement follows a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in May 2026, confirming the strategic partnership and moving it to a binding commercial stage. Historical resource data for Red Flat stands at 18.8 million tons grading 0.84% nickel, with a rock component (Garnierite) of >2.3 million tons grading 1.05% nickel.
Homeland Nickel Inc. (SHL) has entered into a binding offtake agreement, which serves as a direct follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding signed in May 2026. The deal is expected to be incremental and confirms management’s prior guidance regarding the partnership with Westwin.
The primary benefit of the arrangement is the transfer of Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) funding risk to Westwin. This structure de-risks the development phase for Homeland, allowing the company to preserve capital for the updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).
However, the project timeline remains unchanged. Homeland must still deliver the MRE and PEA in the first or second quarter of 2027 before Westwin can commence the BFS. Consequently, there is no immediate revenue, production, or cash inflow generated from this agreement.
Homeland Nickel Inc. (SHL) is a Canadian exploration company focused on consolidating nickel laterite assets in Southern Oregon, USA. Its flagship projects are the Red Flat and Cleopatra properties.
The Cleopatra Property holds a historical resource of approximately 39.5 million tonnes grading 0.93% nickel. The company has optioned this asset to Patriot Nickel Corp, which will earn an 80% interest following the completion of a pre-feasibility study.
The Red Flat Property contains a historical resource of 18.8 million tonnes grading 0.84% nickel. Homeland Nickel has secured a binding offtake agreement with Westwin Elements for this asset.
The company’s strategic focus involves building a domestic US nickel supply chain through partnerships, including Westwin for refining, Brazilian Nickel for processing, and Patriot for development, while advancing exploration and permitting on its Oregon portfolio.
