ArcWest Provides Exploration Update

ArcWest highlights the Todd Creek discovery following its exit from the Freeport partnership and pivot to new collaborators.

Executive Summary

ArcWest Exploration Inc. (AWX) released a comprehensive exploration update on September 28, 2026, covering its seven copper-gold projects in British Columbia. At the Todd Creek project, re-logging of 2025 drill holes identified a new hydrothermal-magmatic intrusion characterized by strong gold-bismuth-tellurium anomalies, supporting a porphyry system thesis. The company is currently in discussions regarding a potential transaction for this asset.

Drilling at the Rip project, totaling 1,654 meters, is complete with assays pending. The program was fully funded by Copper Quest Exploration. Meanwhile, the Sparrowhawk project has received expressions of interest and is also under transaction discussions. The Lemare and Teeta Creek projects are permitted for drilling and are currently under review by potential funding partners.

ArcWest Exploration maintains a financial position of $2.7 million in hard dollars, with no warrants, significant insider ownership, and a low burn rate.

Material Impact

ArcWest Exploration Inc. (AWX) reported $3.28 million in cash in November 2025, with Freeport-McMoRan fully funding a 4,614-meter drill program at Todd Creek. Results from March 2026 expanded the alteration envelope and identified porphyry-style intrusions. However, a May 2026 update marked a shift when Freeport relinquished its option, forcing ArcWest to transition Todd Creek to a self-funded model and seek new partners.

The September 28 update addresses this post-Freeport pivot. Management has identified a new intrusive body at Todd Creek that bolsters the porphyry thesis, providing fresh geological justification to attract new strategic partners. Discussions are already underway for both Todd Creek and Sparrowhawk.

The news demonstrates proactive management in monetizing assets following the Freeport exit and validates the geological model with new re-logging data. It does not, however, represent a signed transaction or a new major funding commitment. The cash position has declined from $3.28 million in November 2025 to $2.7 million in September 2026, reflecting normal operational burn, but remains sufficient to cover near-term permitting and partner tours.

Company Overview

ArcWest Exploration Inc. (AWX) operates as a project generator, forming partnerships and earn-in agreements to explore a diversified portfolio of porphyry copper-gold projects across British Columbia. This model aims to maximize discovery chances while minimizing shareholder dilution.

The company’s flagship asset, Todd Creek, is the most advanced in its portfolio, featuring historical high-grade intercepts such as 3.6 g/t Au over 29.75m. Recent re-logging has confirmed a new hydrothermal-magmatic intrusion at the site. The project is currently seeking a new strategic partner following Freeport-McMoRan's exit.

The broader portfolio includes Oweegee Dome, which is optioned to Sanatana Resources, and Rip, which is optioned to Copper Quest Exploration. Other assets in the portfolio include Eagle, Sparrowhawk, Teeta Creek, and Lemare. Most of these projects are in the exploration phase, with several fully permitted for drilling.
