Ivanhoe Electric to Release the 2026 Santa Cruz Copper Project Preliminary Feasibility Study Before U.S. Markets Open on September 23, 2026
Ivanhoe Electric advances EXIM financing and a tunnel boring machine deal ahead of the Santa Cruz pre-feasibility study update.

Ivanhoe Electric Inc. (IE) announced it will release the 2026 Santa Cruz Copper Project Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS) update before U.S. markets open on September 23, 2026. An investor webinar with Q&A will follow at 10:00 am Eastern.
The updated study incorporates the recently acquired Robbins Crossover XRE Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and associated material handling systems, replacing the previously planned roadheader decline development.
Ivanhoe Electric Inc. issued a pre-announcement regarding a scheduled technical study, noting that the release does not contain new financial or operational data. The market has already partially priced in the acquisition of a tunnel boring machine for $64.7 million, expected in May 2026, and the EXIM Preliminary Project Letter valued at $1.1 billion, anticipated for August 2026. The actual Preliminary Feasibility Study update is expected to serve as the material catalyst, with the release scheduled for September 23.
